41. Asylum Break

Ronald's P.O.V

I sat staring at the plain white wall. 365 days, a whole year I've be been here, wasting away.

~Flashback~
"I'm sorry Mr Knox, I don't think it's safe to let you go home." The doctor explained, after I asked to be discharged.
"Your best friend, and his husband died recently, you're mentally unstable." I nodded my head in understanding. I knew hey were dead and it was my fault:
I let Angela take Grace, it's my fault she's dead.
I told William Grell was dead, it's my fault he killed himself.
I couldn't stop Grell, it's my fault he's dead.
A doctor took me home so I could pack my belongings before heading to the one place I never wanted to end up; The Asylum.
~End~

I shuddered at the memory and thought about what the doctor said.
'Mentally unstable.' It was true then, and it still is now.
I still blame myself.

I trudged into the lunch room and sat at my table after grabbing my tray. I poked at the semi-stale bread as my little blonde friend walked over.

"Ronnie! How are ya?" This kid was truly insane, I'm scared to ask why he's here.

"Hey Alois." I mumbled before taking a small bite of my sandwich.
"How's insanity treating you?" He grinned.

"A lot better than you think! Remember how I had a visitor the other day?....." He told me his escape plan and I chuckled.

"Good luck mate." I went to put my tray away, only to be dragged back.

"What do you mean 'good luck'? You're coming with!" He cheered quietly and we both went into the games room

-Another time skip-

It was probably around midnight when I heard the noise.

"Sounds like a door slamming open." I whispered to myself.
"I guess Trancy can actually formulate a plan."
Before long I heard the exited squeals of a teenage girl, and Alois opened my door.

"Come on Ronnie! Time to go!" I stepped out of my room and followed a tall, dark haired man down the corridor, Alois next to me. We got outside and I was shocked to see a black limousine waiting for us.
"Get in!" Alois shouted, jumping into the limo as the alarm rang.
This kid is going to be the death of me.....
