They'd known they were having twins for months now.
When Molly had first announced the news to her husband Arthur they had both been ecstatic. They had spent the next few months bursting with excitement over their soon to be born twins.
They had even finalized the babies names. If they had two boys then it would be Fred and George. If it ended up being two girls then their names would be Sara and Tiana. And if it ended up being a mixture then they'd pick one of those names each.
But the excitement died away when Molly's water broke. It didn't matter how many times Molly went through childbirth, it didn't become any less daunting, painful or nerve wracking.
Arthur had long since left the room, unable to bear seeing his wife's face twisted in such agony. Now he sat nervously in the waiting room pacing up and down the corridors.
It took almost two days for their children to be born. Molly was understandably exhausted by the end of it. But despite the long wait neither of them felt any less proud when their sons took their first breath.
Fred was born two minutes before George.
They were identical in appearance. Both with hazel eyes and a bright shock of red hair.
Arthur inhaled sharply when Fred was placed into his arms. He gazed down at this tiny helpless boy with many conflicting emotions.
Pride, Fear and Love. Those were the ones that stood out the most.
On that day Arthur Wesley made the same vow for the fourth time in his life.
'I'll be the best father I can possibly be. I promise that I'll always be here for you my boys, no matter what."
