Nandini was lying on the hospital bed surrounded by machines and drip attached to her. She's been in here for two hours now.

Manik is sitting outside sick and worried for her. All of them can't do anything but wait outside for the doctors to come and tell them about her condition.

Cabir came and sat besides manik. He kept his hand on his shoulder.

"She will be alright don't worry. We rescued her on time." Manik just nodded at him.

"What about harshad and kartik?" Manik asked gritting his teeth.

"Police caught them before they can run away. I completed all the formalities just nandini's statement is required." Cabir said and he nodded.

"Make sure they don't get a bail and won't be able to come out of the jail for a really long time." He said angrily.

"Everything is sorted they will be punished don't worry."

Doctor came out and everyone rushed towards him.

"How is she? Is she alright?" Navya said frantically.

"She's having a minor concussion because she had hit her head hard. She had been drugged and top of that she hasn't eaten anything for a really long time that's why she's weak. But there is nothing major." Doctor informed.

"Any precautions?" Manik asked.

"No just lots of rest and that would be enough." Doctor said.

"Can we meet her?" Aryaman asked.

"Yes you can but she isn't awake yet"

"No problem." Cabir said and they all entered inside.

Nandini was lying unconscious, her face was pale. Her head wrapped in a bandage and many cuts here and there on her body.

A lone tear escaped from manik's eyes seeing her like that. Dhruv put his  hand on his shoulder and nodded at him to go to her.

Manik wiped his tears and sat on the stool. He took her hand in his and caressed it softly.

His eyes fell on her wrists which were bruised due to rope. He caresses it with his finger.

"I'm sorry nandini. I wasn't able to protect you. I'm so sorry." He cried holding her hand.

"You did everything to protect her manik don't blame yourself." Navya said keeping her hand on her shoulder.

"Look at her condition navya. I failed to protect her." He cried covering his face with his hands.

"I'm safe here with you isn't that enough." A weak voice of nandini was heard.

Manik's head snapped at her. He cupped her face with a smile seeing her awake.

"Are you fine?" He asked and she nodded with a weak smile. He immediately hugged her tightly when she hissed.

"Manik it's hurting." She murmured and he broke the hug muttering a sorry.

"Thank God you are awake because manik's water tank was going to break due to constant crying." Cabir said to lighten the mood. Manik glared at him and nandini chuckled followed by a painful hiss.

"What's wrong?" Manik asked scared.

"My whole body is hurting." She said pursing her lips in pain.
