I quickly took off from the library back to my apartment to talk to Kat. There was no way that I could handle this alone.

This adorable guy messaged me , but what to say. I didn't want to mess this up.

Damn it's been over half an hour . I want to reply but I need back up on this.

As I ran into the apartment I stumbled across my least favorite roommate Jeannette. She was beyond nosy and didn't know how to take a hint when people said no.

"I can't wait for our double date see you there !" Jeannette practically shouted into the phone.

Before she could force me into a conversation I slid into my room.

Don't get me wrong I don't mind her most of the time. Today I just wanted to stay away from that possible hot mess of a conversation. Meaning I didn't want to talk about her new date , since she was supposed to have a boyfriend. No way was I going to get in between any of that.

Finally in my room I decided I waited too long not to reply to Kyle's message. I would just have to update Kat when she got home. Shortly after making up my mind I got on tinder and opened the message.

Kyle: Hey

Hey just a simple hey , what do I say to that ?!  I'm clearly over thinking this I should say hi back , but I don't want to have a dry conversation. I rather try to think of something to keep him interested enough to reply again.

Teresa: Hey there stranger. So do you have a dog?

Wow , do you have a dog really that's the best you can come up  with?! I'm messing up my chances with every message. Why is this my fate!

I  tossed my phone away from me to get my mind off the message. When it started to ring. I quickly got up to grab it just to be disappointed.

"Hey Kat "

"Well who shitted in you Cheerios ? I'm the one who was left hanging with out an update! "

I knew I was forgetting something.

" I am beyond sorry . Look when you get home we can go grab a cake and talk about everything that has happened deal?"

Shortly after that call Kat arrived home. On our way out Beth had arrived back from work. Unlucky for her she was stuck in a conversation with Jeannette.

At the end of the day Kat and I were discussing our boy drama and my lack of a reply over chocolate cake.
