"Well do you want to get her back? She broke your heart Kenz." Demi said after a few minutes of silence.
"Honestly, I want her back, but I can't trust her, so I'm done." I said, walking over to the couch and laying down on it.
"Kenzie, don't get upset when I say this, okay?" I nod at Demi. "Forget about dating for a while. Just focus on recovery. I know you haven't really been eating much lately, so let's focus on that. Okay?"
"I guess. I'm sorry Demi, I've tried not to slip back into my eating habits, I'm sorry." I said, tears pricking my eyes.
"It's okay baby girl. I'm gonna help you. Promise." Demi said, kissing my forehead.
"Hey Dem? Can we get some dinner? I'm kinda hungry." I said, rolling over and facing the back of the couch.
Next thing I know, I'm getting picked up and thrown over someone's shoulder. From the sweatpants their wearing, I can tell it's Tiffany.
"Hey Tiff?"
"Yeah babe?" Tiffany replies, still standing in the middle of the living room.
"Whatcha doin?" I asked, grabbing her waist.
"I'm gonna take you to the kitchen as soon as Demi moves because I feel like she'll trip me if I try to walk past." Tiffany says.
"Haha, I probably would've Tiff. But I'll move, Kenzie needs food." Demi says, pulling her legs underneath her on the couch.
"So do you Dem." I said, giving her a look that said "Just because I'm slipping back into my old habit, doesn't mean you can"
"I'm not hungry." Demi says.
I sigh, "Hey Tiff? Can you put me down, go into the kitchen and tell mom to make us sandwiches?"
She puts me down and walks into the kitchen. I sit on the coffee table, in front of Demi, forcing her to look at me.
"Dem, what's going on?" I ask.
"Nothing Kenzie, go eat." Demi says, shifting her eyes from me to the floor.
"Demi, please. Let me in, I want to help." I say, gently grabbing her jaw, forcing her to look at me.
"Kenz, I'm fine, really. I'm just not hungry." Demi says, removing my hand from her jaw.
"Fine. But you know I know the tricks, when you're ready to talk, don't come to me. I don't want anymore lies." I said, getting up and walking into the kitchen.
I walked into the kitchen, grabbing a bottle of water, and sitting next to Tiffany. I sighed and started eating the sandwich mom placed in front of me. Maddie was still at the table, sitting there, staring at nothing. I snapped my fingers in front of her face.
"Mads, you okay over there?"
"Huh? Yeah I'm fine." Maddie said with a fake smile. I saw right through it.
"Liar. What's up Mads? i know there's something wrong."
"I think there's something wrong with Demi. She didn't eat dinner. I'm probably overreacting." Maddie said, looking down.
I placed two fingers under her chin and lifted it up, my eyes staring into her chocolate brown ones. "You're not over reacting Mads, I'm worried too. Why don't you go upstairs, talk to Dallas about this, then come watch a movie in my room with Tiffany, Hope and I?" Okay?" I ask, kissing her forehead.
"Okay. I'll meet you in your room?" Mads asked, before going upstairs to talk to Dallas.
I sigh, finishing the sandwich. It's been a lot easier eating now that Demi's been helping me. Tiffany and I sit in the kitchen, talking to mom about some stuff, when Demi walks in.
