Carmen's POV

I woke on a bed in a guest room. I had no hangover, surprisingly. I got up and got dressed, arm glove included. I grabbed a plate of food and ate like the wolf-pig I was. I was one of the first ones up. Which made sense, it was only 6:30. I smiled mischievously. -Up yet Jordy?- I asked her through the sibling link. -Yep. Darren, Michael, Garrett, and Lance are too. Their mates included.- she linked back.

-Warn them all to plug their ears.- I said. I then went back up to the room Jordan and I shared. I looked for my trusty bullhorn. I went outside the pack house and turned it on. "ALL RIGHT!!! TIME TO GET UP!!! EVERY PERSON, NON-ELDER, OVER THE AGE OF 14 DOWN HERE TO TRAIN BY 7:10!! LATES ARE NOT TOLERATED!!" I shouted. I heard the groans and whines but they all dragged their asses down here.

"Alright! 500 laps in human form around the forest!" I said. By the end of the 500 laps, quite a few were panting. "700 push ups!" I said next. I did the push ups with them and I had barely broken a sweat by the time we were done. "400 squats and 300 tricep lifts. Weights are provided." I gestured to the weights lying on the ground. They all passed out on their feet as soon they were done.

Curtis ran out, glaring. There was a girl following him, Josie I think her name was. I saw a mark on her neck and their intermingling scents. They had mated. "Alpha, Luna, glad you decided to join us." I said happily. I made them do all the work their pack had just previously done. Curtis's face was quite red and sweaty while Josie was covered in sweat.

Their pack eventually woke up and went in for a late breakfast. Curtis and Josie cornered me. "Hey, Cece that was a-" she was cut off by Curtis. "Not now, Josie. I saw in action how you mistreat my pack. I demand you leave my lands." Curtis said angrily. Now Josie was angry, because she couldn't get a word in. "Curtis! Don't be silly! This is-" Curtis cut her off again. "Josie! Not now!" he growled. She glared at him. "No, Alpha. Let the Luna speak." I said.

Josie flashed me a look of gratitude. "Thank you. As I was saying. You specifically indicated that we needed help. They're helping us." She said. I smiled and turned to leave. Curtis's hand snaked out and grabbed onto my arm glove. It ripped and fell off. I hid my arm and went back to find a new one. I felt someone trying to follow me.

I got a new one out of my backpack and found Jordan. "Jordy. Pissed off Alpha alert! Curtis has gone nutso!" I warned. I saw her eyes flash with annoyance. "I know, Cece. He wants us off the land." she said. I nodded and mindlinked the guys and their mates to pack up and prepare to leave.

Curtis headed straight for Jordan. "Where are you going? Jenny?" he asked Jordan. She growled in annoyance. "We're leaving. You've ordered us off the land and I respect your decision. And the name's Jordan. Jordan Dodge." she said. I saw Curtis's eyes bug out and I could almost see the gears turning. "See you never, fibber." I said as I passed.

Curtis grabbed my shirt and forced me to turn around. "Who in the fuck are you? Who?" he demanded. I laughed, only unnerving him more. He growled. "What are you hiding under your arm glove, then?" he asked. I was shocked. He was smarter than he let on. "Skin. What else?" I said with the air of a teacher in a kindergarten class, trying to teach them numbers.

"No smart ass comments. You know, you look remarkably like...No, you can't be her.....She was ugly and fat and you're decent looking." he said. I smiled and winked at him from behind my sunglasses. "Really? What was her name?" I asked, already knowing the answer. He stalled for a moment. " Carmen. Carmen Dodge." he said. I smiled and pulled of my aviators. "I don't know her, sorry. But she does know you." I said. He was confused until I pulled off my arm glove.

The five long, 8 inch claw marks stretched from the inner part of my wrist to the inner part of my elbow. Curtis eyed them. "No....." he muttered. "Surprise, Motherfucker! I'll be leaving now." I said gleefully.

Curtis's POV

My mate, Carmen Dodge was standing in front of me. I wanted to mark her as mine and mate her, but I couldn't. River? I need help! I said through our link. Remember the day I told you about? It has arrived. Stew in your own guilt and misery, maggot. He replied and shut off our link with a laugh.

"Carm, I'm sorry. I really am...Please!" I begged. She laughed bitterly. "Why should I listen to you? You didn't listen to my desperate cries of help as I was beaten, did you? You didn't listen to me telling you to stop as you gave me the scars on my arm and my back. Fuck off, prick. Your new mate needs you. And don't call me Carm. It's Carmen to you." She snarled.

"Come on! Please! I'm sorry!" I literally got on my knees and begged. She kicked me in the face and laughed the bitter laugh again. "Sorry doesn't cut it, you ignorant scum! There's enough dirt on my shoes without you adding more. Oh and about Carol? she's under my protection now. Oh, and by the way, if you ever try and succeed in finding me, I will be waiting for you with a silver whip. See ya, wouldn't wanna be ya!" She called as she took off running.

I was seething mad. How dare she run away from me! I chased after her and I was catching up. I tackled her to the ground and she writhed around, succeeding to escape. "Jordy!! Plan M!" she yelled. There was the sound of marbles clinking together and soon they were dropped onto the ground, just behind Carmen. I tripped and stumbled and watched my own mate run away. Again.

She isn't our mate anymore, Jerk. You made sure of that. River snarled in my head. Shut up, you. I want, and need, her back. I snarled back, just as fierce.
