The Secret of Her Life

Aurora

"I had the strangest dream, but it was so realistic," Aurora said while sitting on the counter. "Aurora stop messing around you need to get ready for school." She rolled her eyes, "can I at least tell you about my dream?" Nyx just nodded. "It was weird, and I was really little. A bunch of houses were on fire and people were dying everywhere. You were carrying me but we were leaving someone behind. I didn't know him but I felt like I recognized him. I couldn't figure out why. It was strange and there was so much death, but there was this little boy. He was so peaceful and all he said was 'Thanatos and Lazarus." Nyx looked a little startled. "Mom are you ok?" She just nodded. "Go get ready for school." Aurora rolled her eyes again and then went up to her bedroom and got dressed. Then she grabbed her keys off the counter and left for school in her car. Aurora was still thinking about her dream, she couldn't shake this feeling she had about it. As she kept thinking about it she noticed the wind started to blow harder. She decided to ignore it and just get to school.

When she was walking around on campus she noticed a bird every where she went. It was always the same bird. Whenever she saw it, it gave her that same familiar feeling. Aurora couldn't tell why. "Hey!" someone yelled, which made Aurora jump. "Oh my god you scared the shit out of me Luna." Luna is one of Aurora's good friends, they have know each other ever since they were little. She loves to be out at night and is always doing some odd things. "Hey Luna, did you see a bird before you scared the life out of me?" She sat there thinking for a few seconds, "No, didn't see a bird, I mean if I did you would have known. You know how scared I am of birds." Aurora agreed, "yeah i'm pretty sure the whole school would known." They both started laughing and then Aurora bumped into someone knocking their books out of there hands. "Oh my god I'm so sorry, let me help you," she said as she bent down to help him pick his books back up. When she saw his face she felt like she knew him, but it was a little bit of a different way. "Do I know you?" she asked him. "No, I'm new here my name is Lazarus, and he's my brother Thanatos." he said as another guy walked up to them. In that moment she had a flashback of her dream, and said under her breath, "the fire." Thanatos looked concerned for her. "Are you okay Aurora?" he said which just made her even more confused. "Yeah I just need to get to class, how did you know my name?" Lazarus and Thanatos looked at each other. "The office told us we would find you here, they told us to have you help us find our classes." Aurora looked at Luna and shrugged her shoulders and said "I'll see you later then I guess." She then took their schedules and read all of their classes. "You have all the same classes as me, how weird, well then just follow me, I guess."

Once they got to class and went to sit down the boys made the people who sit next to Aurora move so that they could sit on both sides of her. This kinda freaked her out and then she thought it was because she is the only person they know, then she remembered how she recognized them but didn't know where. Thinking about how their names were in her dream she thought "what if that boy was one of them." and then she realized she was thinking out loud because both of the boys were staring at her like she was crazy. "What are you looking at me like that for?" They were silent for a moment then Lazarus said "you were talking to yourself." She thought about it for a second, "was I really?" Thanatos nodded.

When lunch came around Aurora was sitting with her boyfriend Jasper, and the rest of her friends, Acantha, Apollo, and Luna. "Do you guys really gotta do that right now, we don't need to see you tonguing face while we eat our food." Luna was saying when Jasper's brother Thorn came up and interrupted her saying "yeah that's really gross you should just stop now before someone tries to join you." Acantha just rolled her eyes and got off Apollo's lap, and said, "so what's with you Aurora, you have been kinda out of it today." Not realizing someone said something to her she turned to see everyone just looking at her, "what, why are you all looking at me so weird, did I do something?" Jasper started to laugh,"i'm sorry I couldn't help it, babe you spaced out and Acantha asked why you have been so quiet." Before Aurora could answer Luna jumped in and said "Oh, Oh I know, is it because of that bird you saw? I know that would've scared me." She smiled and said "we all know that birds scare you, but no that's not why. I had a really weird dream last night." Thorn started to chuckle a little "what, were you getting down and dirty with my brother?" Everyone just kinda looked at him. "Dude, stop, do I need to kick your ass, again?"Jasper said jokingly which made Aurora rolled her eyes "that's really not needed, my dream was about me when I was little, and there was buildings on fire, and there was this little boy I passed by and all he said was 'Thanatos and Lazarus' and then these guys show up here today. I don't know it's just kinda weird." Jasper kinda looked angry by her saying this, which was very unusual because Jasper is always a happy person, it takes a lot to make him mad. "If they even just bump into you I will fucking beat their asses and I mean that," he said. Everyone was silent other than Thorn, "Well on that note, I'm out of here," he said. Aurora was confused, "why are you so mad about this it's not like they did something to me, it was just a dream. You really need to chill out..." She looked around and she saw Thanatos and Lazarus sitting at a table by themselves, "and when you do, come and get me." She finished saying as she got up with her food. Jasper tried to stop her, "Aurora stop sit back down," he said. She just shrugged him off and went to go sit with Thanatos and Lazarus.
