It was Sunday morning, which was the only day that the store wasn't open. It's not because Allan went to church, he just wanted a day to relax. He was "watching TV", when he noticed some one moving into the house next door. He decided to go out to help them because "watching TV" meant channel surfing until something interesting popped up.
When he walked outside, a woman with short brown hair and blue eyes walked out of the moving van. She looked over to Allan. "Hey."
"Hello. Do you need any help?"
"Hmm... No. I'll be fine. I don't have very much. But thanks anyways."
"Oh, okay then. Well, welcome to the neighborhood, at least. I'm Allan."
"I'm Amy, it's nice to meet you."
"It's nice to meet you, too."
The two shook hands, and Allan walked back into his house. He layed back down on his couch and thought, "You know, she's pretty cute."
His face slightly turned red. He didn't know why he was thinking these things. Besides, there's no way he's been hooked that quickly. He's just met her, and that would be silly... Would it? He started to wonder if she was thinking the same thing as he was.
He just felt so weird. Luckily for him, his thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door. It was Nick.
"Sup."
"Hey Nick, did you need something?"
"Nah, I was just bored."
"Oh, okay then."
"So, who's moving in?"
"Huh? Oh, it's some girl named Amy."
"Have you two already met, I'm guessing?"
"Yeah, actually."
"You like her, don't you?"
"What, no! ... Well, maybe, I don't know yet."
"Allan, every time this happens, you think you've found the one, then something bad happens that either result in one person leaving or both people in sadness for months."
"I know, but-"
"No! I'm not letting it happen for a third time, Allan. Tell your brain to stop doing a think."
"Okay, I'll try."
"Good. I'll be off then."
Nick ran out the door without giving Allan a chance to say goodbye. He started to wonder why he was still thinking about her. Maybe he should try to make his brain stop doing a think.
