Elia Stark had never grown up unloved. Surrounded by her five siblings, her parents and a castle full of people that cared for her, Elia never wanted it to change.
Then the king came to visit Winterfell, her father was made hand of the king, consequently branded a traitor and executed, and Elia was snuck away and turned into a Stone. And THEN, her brother marched south, became a king and died, her mother died and her younger brothers died. Everyone she loved died, but Elia lived.
How's the saying go? The lone wolf dies and the pack survives, but leave one wolf alive and the sheep are never safe. Elia is still alive, the Starks are still alive.
