I started at the outfit I had laid out of the bed, it was a gauzy white skirt that fell to my knees, a black lace spegetti strap shirt. I pulled the skirt on, and twirled a bit, it went with me and landed right back in a floating matter, I felt my face go red and pushed my hands down on the skirt, this was going to be one of the longest afternoons of my life. After I had the black tank top on and pulled my jean jacket on again, I dug in my closet and found a cute pair of flats I hadn't worn in a while. I pulled them on and looked in the mirror. I guess this was ok? I glanced at the clock and cursed, like I had reminded myself earlier, Nashville was a bit of a hike and I needed to get going. I grabbed my purse and flew down stairs. "Bye mom!" I yelled slamming the door.
I walked down to the garage and saw my dad leaning against the truck. "D-dad?" I asked getting closer.
"Man I wish I could argue against your mother." He murmured looking at me. "What happened to my little girl running around and wanting to do everything that daddy was doin'." He laughed lightly, I could see a trace of sadness or remose in his eyes.
"She's still here." I quirked a smile looking at him.
"She's grown up into the beautiful woman in front of me." I blushed.
"Dad stopp! I'm gonna be late, can I go?" I asked, using my puppy dog eyes.
"Curse your brother for teaching you that. Yeah, get goin' kiddo, but be careful." He answered me pulling away from my truck as I 'squeed' and ran and got into the drivers seat and turned the engine on. I waved to him and backed out of the drive way.
When I finally got to Nashville I realized Hunter hadn't told me where to meet him, so I texted him asking where we should meet and he told me to just come over to his apartment, that caused a mad blush on my face. He sent me the address and I pulled out my phone to use as a GPS and it brought me to his apartment building and I gaped. That wasn't an apartment! It was a massive hotel or something! I shakily parked my truck and got out. My 2011 Ford looked like a trash bucket compared to the cars around it, curse rich people and there fancy foreign cars. I went to the door and the door man let me in. Hunter had sent me the room he leased too as I looked on a giant pad of numbers, I saw kept looking for number 52, you'd think the numbers would be in order, right? So did I, but they weren't, finally I found it and pushed the button, instantly a voice came through somewhere. "Yeah?"
"H-hunter?" I asked looking around, I heard his laugh ring through, yup. It was him.
"Hey Bailey, come on up." He spoke and then I heard a click then an elevator door across from me opened up. I stepped in, there were no buttons, suddenly the door shut and I was trapped. I tried not to panic as the elvator went up, it was a few minutes until it finally stopped and the doors opened, it opened into a giant room, I stepped into it and no one was there.
"He-hello?" I called.
Just then I heard footsteps coming around the corner, I was about to panic and try and hide but it turned out to be Hunter. "Hey Bailey." He said again with a smile on his face, him and that smile, it almost never left him it felt like.
"Hi!" I squeaked looking around, this place was huge! I'd hardly call it an apartment! It was a minature house on floor. "Nic-nice place." I spoke looking around, he led me out of the entrance and into what I thought was a living room, and again I gaped.
"Sorry, it's not much but, I gotta finish doing something quick, go ahead and have a seat over on the couch, then I'll be ready." He spoke to me, going up some steps and down a long hallway vanishing into a room.
I sat down for a few minutes but then I got curious about everything and started walking around looking at the stuff he had hanging on the walls, and the books he had, I must have stepped on something or hit something because music started playing, I shrieked lighty and moved back. It was country music go figure as I laughed at myself. I was listening to the song playing, it was And We Danced by Brad Paisley. This song came out a few years ago, I loved it. I laughed lightly unable to help myself, I followed the steps I knew from it, I giggled and stepped back pretending I had a dance partner. I followed in step with the music, twirling and I started giggling. Then about midtwirl, I felt someone catch me, rather Hunter than someone, I laughed and we finished out dancing the rest if the song with him, the song ended and he had me in a dip, he was breathing and looking down at me smiling. "You know Bailey, for someone who claimed to be to short for a dancer, just danced beautifully from what I saw."
"We-well it was waltzing! Anyone can do that!" I spoke, in attempt to get up, but he held a tight grip on my waist as he pulled me up and I twirled again and landed inward into his arms, him having a hold on both my hands.
"Oh was it now? Well we should see if just anyone can do that then." He spoke, taking my hand and we started walking towards the elavator again. I glanced down at what Hunter was wearing... he looked pretty nice, not that he didn't look nice yesterday. He was pretty cute in general.
We stepped down off the elevator, Hunter still holding my hand as I was blushing. He rounded the corner and into a garage looking area. "Wait here for a sec." He said disappearing.
The next thing I heard was an engine roaring. "Holy crap Hunter!" I gaped again as he came around the corner, I don't know what kind of car it was, but it was big, classy, and did I mention it was big?
"I know, I know it's big, get in you nut." He laughed at me, I quickly went around the hood and slid into the side seat.
"Oh! Nice leather." I spoke looking around, and feeling it.
"Your such a dork." He laughed at me. "Buckle up." He spoke.
As soon as I pulled the seatbelt down and clicked into position he sped out of the parking lot and into the streets of Nashville, while I was sitting there, nerves starting to rise and having no idea where he was taking me.
