"Murdoc and I... we're in a relationship." 2D explained. "How long has this been going on?" Noodle asked. "A few weeks..." 2D began "after we all got back together." He added.
"But... you two used to hate each other!" Noodle turned to Murdoc. "You tried to kill him!" She said, pointing to 2D. "People don't just go from hating someone to loving them, that doesn't make any sense!" She said.
"Noodle, he isn't like that anymore." 2D said. "He's changed. People can change." He added. Noodle looked at the tall man. "Then why did was he hitting you last night after dinner?" She asked.
Murdoc sighed. "We agreed to try and give the illusion that nothing had changed between us. Well, only when you and Russel were around." He explained. "Oh yeah, where is Russel?" 2D asked. "Oh, he went to the gas station. The car was running low." Noodle said. "But back to the point: Why were you guys trying to hide it?" She asked. "We figured that everyone- you, Russel, the fans- would, hm, how do you say...-" "We didn't want it to affect the image of the band." Murdoc explained. "Yeah, what he said." 2D said.
The three of them froze as they heard the car pull into the driveway (if that's what you wanna call it). "Look, just please don't tell Russel." 2D said. "Why not?" She asked. "The fewer who know the better." Murdoc told her. "Okay, but only if I get to have the most screen time in the DARE music video." She demanded. "Wha- why that?" Murdoc asked. "I got almost none in the Feel Good Inc. video, even though I wrote most of the song." She argued. Murdoc grumbled. "Oh all right!" He finally agreed.
"Oh shoot! We're supposed to put away the groceries!" Noodle remembered. The three scrambled to start right as Russel entered the building.

"What are you doing!? This doesn't go in the fridge!" Murdoc screamed at 2D. 2D flinched as Murdoc grabbed the pack of beer from him, and stormed off with it. Russel sighed. "I'll go get him." He said, going off to find Murdoc.
Noodle looked over at 2D, who was putting away the sodas. "You okay?" She asked. "Yeah, yeah." He said, not bothering to look up.
"Can't you just act like a civilized person around him for one second?!" Russel yelled at Murdoc, dragging him all the way to the fridge. Murdoc just stood there, doing absolutely nothing. 2D stopped moving sodas, and nervously looked at Murdoc, waiting for his fist to come in sight.
After what seemed like an eternity (but was really no more than a short moment), Murdoc's fist sprang up, just barely apart from 2D's head. 2D acted accordingly, appearing to have been punched in the face.
"Why the hell did you do that!? He did absolutely nothing!" Russel asked, completely unaware of the act. "You said only one second of acting civilized, so that's what I did." Murdoc said. "I didn't mean it literally!" Russel was losing his patience. Noodle wished she could tell him, but she didn't want to upset 2D, let alone Murdoc.

After all the groceries were put away, everyone went off to do their own things. Noodle went to play the newest Kirby game on her Nintendo DS; Russel went to do laundry, because in all honesty, he was the only responsible adult in the household; Murdoc was preparing to perform some sort of satanic ritual in his room; and 2D was thinking about what Noodle had said that morning.
Murdoc was almost ready to begin the ritual when he heard a faint knock on his door. He got up to go see who dared disturb him. To his surprise, 2D was standing in the hallway. "I-I'm sorry t-to bug you Murdoc, but..." he looked around to make sure no one was there. "I-I wanted to talk." He said. "Oh, sure." Murdoc welcomed 2D into his room.

"Shall we?" Murdoc said, gesturing towards his bed. "What?... oh- no I actually wanted to talk." 2D said, embarrassed. "Oh, okay. What's up?" Murdoc was a little bummed, but if something was on 2D's mind, he wanted to hear it.
"About what Noodle said this morning...-" "Oh, don't worry I'll make sure she doesn't tell Russel-" "No no no! Not that part!" 2D said, cutting off Murdoc. 2D paused. "Erm- s-sorry. It's just that... I mean... y-you... you tried to kill me. And, you almost did..." 2D hoped that would be all he had to say, but he hadn't seemed to get through to Murdoc yet. "I guess what I'm trying to say is..." he took a deep breath. He felt tears coming, but they didn't yet leave his eyes. "If this relationship... is going to abusive..." the tears started falling. "Then I don't think it's one I wanna be in!" He blurted out before his tears could stop him. They fell down his face, and kept coming.
Murdoc hadn't yet said anything, which concerned 2D (mainly because he couldn't see the expression on Murdoc's face). Expecting the worst, 2D prepared for the old Murdoc to return. "I-I'm sorry!" He squeaked. Covering his face, he began more unnecessary pleads. "I-I take it back! We can do whatever you want! Anything! Just-" no longer crying, 2D looked up at Murdoc, who had a very grim look on his face. "P-please don't hurt me! I promise you can do whatever you want to me, just please don't hurt me!" 2D begged and pleaded. Expecting a hard cold beating, he closed his eyes and tensed up. All he felt was a hand on his shoulder.
"Stu..." Murdoc said. 2D slowly opened his eyes. "I... I'm so sorry." Murdoc continued. 2D felt as though this could either end terribly for him, or wonderfully for both of them. "I never wanted you to feel like this. If I had known... that you didn't feel safe with me... I..." Murdoc realized that 2D had started sobbing. "Oh, Stu." Murdoc said. He brushed the hair covering 2D's face to the side. "Stu no, don't cry." He wiped a tear off 2D's cheek.
2D sniffled. "I-I love you. A-and I wanna be with you." He said. Murdoc, for the first time ever, hugged 2D. "I wanna be with you two." Murdoc stroked 2D's hair. "I-I need you to promise me... that you'll never... never purposefully, try to hurt me." 2D said. "I promise." Murdoc said, holding his lover closer.

"I promise."
