"Ten dollars for one cookie?!" asked Alois, slamming his hands on the table. The senior popped a bubble with her pink bubble gum and straightened her pony tail. "Yes, ten dollars for one cookie. You got a problem with that? If so, I suggest you leave, little boy. You're causing a scene." Alois dug two fives from his pocket and threw them at the girl, clearly annoyed.
Alois turned from the table, cookie in hand. Now to find Ciel. The blonde scanned the crowded lunchroom and finally spotted the boy sitting all by himself at the table by the window. A drop of sadness trickled through Alois. Now that he thought about it, Ciel was always alone. In class, at lunch, in the hallway, and even walking home. Heading over to the bluenette, Alois made a promise that he would never let Ciel feel alone. He knew what it was like to feel alone, and Ciel did not deserve that.
"Oi, Ciel! Mind if I sit with you?" Alois shouted cheerfully. "Yes, I mind, Trancy." Ciel responeded, scooting away as Alois sat down anyway.
Alois racked his brain for something to say. For some reason, his thoughts flew all over the place when he was near Ciel. The sun shone brightly through the huge lunchroom windows, washing everyone in warm sunshine. "So, um, Ciel. Close your eyes!" Alois said breaking the silence.
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"Pleaseee?"
"No."
"Come on!"
"No."
"You're so mean to me!" Alois pouted.
Ciel sighed deeply and closed his eye. "I swear, Trancy, if you touch me in any shape, form, or fashion, I will hate you with a burning passion for the rest of my life."
Alois smirked. "Let's not be hasty~"
The blonde carefully set the huge chocolate chip cookie in front of Ciel, smiling from ear to ear. Alois knew how much Ciel loved anything sweet. The boy could completely devour a thick piece of cake and still have room for 3 starwberry pasteries. Yet he never gained an once. Hmm.
"Hurry up, brat." Ciel said, his eye still closed. Alois couldn't help but stare. The soft sunlight washing over Ciel made him look almost angelic. His soft lashes and smooth skin made him seem so childlike.
"Okay, open up!"
Ciel opened his eye and instantily spotted the cookie like radar. He looked at Alois questionally, "For me?" he asked. The blonde nodded with a smile. Ciel grabbed the cookie and took a huge bite without a second thought. 'Ten dollars was so worth seeing that smile.' Alois thought, smiling a little himself. Ciel broke off a little piece of chocolately goodness and handed it to Alois. "Here....er...thanks..Trancy." Alois resisted the urge to full out tackle Ciel with a hug and took the cookie. They ate in silence and looked out the window. With every bite, Alois applauted himself in a job well done.

"Claude!!" Alois yelled setting down his bag and chuncking his shoes across the room. Alois had made sure to come home really late and see Claude's reaction. Claude rarley showed the boy any attention if it wasn't absolutley nessicary. The butler appeared at the top of the stairs, looking down on Alois. "Well?!" Alois shouted. "I'm 4 hours late! What are you going to do!?"
Alois expected worry, conceren, saddness, at least anger, but was greeted with the ame old monotone, emtionless face. Filled with with so much anger and rage, Alois slammed his fist into the wall, and darted out the door.
Alois ignored everything and ran. He ignored the sky getting darker by the minute, he ignored the horrible pain in his hand, his bear feet pounded against the cold concrete, the cold September wind howling around him; he ignored it all and ran.
After 20 minutes Alois dropped to the ground. His lungs were screaming at him to breathe. It had to be at least 8'oclock, because it was now complelely dark. Alois's hand was bleeding pretty bad and he hadn't stopped bleeding since. The boy layed on the ground-grass- and stared up at the star-packed sky. He took about 15 minutes to calm down and suck in enough air to satisfy his burning lungs. He felt lightheaded and sick to his stomach. Alois slowly set up and winced at the movement. Suddenly, painic set in. He was alone, who knows where, at night. It was too dark to see where he was exactley, but he could barely make out a swing set. A park? God knows what kind of creeps hang around a park after dark. That thought shot Alois flying to his feet. His fatigue-plauged legs instantly disagreed with his actions and threatened to give way. He ignored that and grabbed his phone. Now, who to call? Claude? No, no, no, no. Definatly not Claude. Alois never wanted to see the butler's face again. Alois never knew his real parents, so those 2 very important contacts are nonexcisetant. Ciel. Ciel would help him. He had to. Alois punched in Ciel's number and waited.
"Hello?" Ciel awnsered groggily.
"Ciel!" Alois practially screamed, "I need your help, okay?"
"Why would I help you? Wait- are you crying?"
Alois was flooded with relief when he heard concern in the other's voice.
"Y-yes. Yeah, I'm crying. I don't know where I am and I'm really scared and lost and my hand hurts from where I punched the wall an-"
"Trancy! Calm down. I cannot understand a word you are saying. Now, take a breath and tell me-where are you?"
Alois looked around, trying desperatly to make out a familiar location. It was pitch black but he could at least see some trees and a swing set.
"I-I think it's some sort of park."
"Park?"
"Yeah, but it's too bloody dark too see anything!" Alois yelled. The dark just happened to be Alois's biggest fear.
"Calm down. Hold on."
There was a muffled conversation in the background. Alois heard certain words like "park" "Alois" "lost"
"Okay, Trancy, Sebastian thinks he knows where you are. We'll come get you, okay?"
Alois let out a huge breath he didn't know he was holding. Ciel was coming for him. He wasn't going to be alone. Ciel's butler was smart, unlike his. He would find him.
"Okay! Thank you so so much Ciel!"
"Yeah, yeah, just don't mention it. Seriously. Now, would you like to explain why you are a park at 9:12 at night with a bloody hand in which you appearently punched a wall?"
Alois felt considerably better talking to Ciel. The dark didn't seem so dark; the wind didn't seem so cold. Alois told him everything, smiling when Ciel said things like, "Wow, your butler's stupid." After a while Ciel said, "Trancy, I think we're here. Do you see headlights?"
Alois looked around and thankfully saw a pair of headlights cut through the night.
"Yeah! I see them."
"Well?"
"What?"
"We didn't drive over here just to watch you stand there. Come on." And with that Ciel hung up and Alois smiled brightly and ran to the car.
Once in the car with all the windows down and the music playing, and Ciel next to him, and Sebastian driving, and Ciel's hand almost (almost) touching his, Alois didn't think life was so bad after all.
