Rain. It drops from the sky to destroy the sunshine and to ruin the picnics of innocent victims in the unfair game we call the water cycle. People hate having their nice spring days being ruined by a couple of drops of 2 hydrogen atoms and 1 oxygen atom. But, this rain makes everything come back stronger. The water the momentarily made the sun leave makes it look brighter when it comes back. It makes the flowers bloom with more vibrance and gives life to the thing it just "killed". Rain doesn't ruin anything. It just delays the sunshine. No matter what, the sun will always shine again. The flowers will bloom and the world will be happy. It only took a little H20.

Today was one of those days. One of those days that if you peeled back the grey overcast and took away the rain, it would have been the picturesque spring day. The one that the movies always end in. The epilogue after the guy gets a girl and they go to the park with all of their friends to reminisce about how they got together.

But today, the rain remained and the grey clouds were locked in their positions, perfectly content with just dumping all of their water content on everyone and everything.

If you were one of those people who had plans that were broken, you thought the rain was a mistake. A punishment nature placed on you for no reason. But, if you were like Harmony Scott, you did not mind one bit. The rain was calming. It reminded her of peace. It made whatever stress in her life disappear into oblivion.

That morning it wasn't the rolls of soft thunder that awoke her from her sweet slumber, and it certainly wasn't the nonexistent sun shining through her curtains. It was a beep. A loud beep echoing throughout her aqua painted room. It was a tweet. Harmony was never one for social contact. That is, with people who know who she is, or people who talk back.
