Olivia's POV
The following days all passed very quickly. Jack and I hung our more and more, sometimes he'd come over and we'd play with Pickles, who by the way, my mum was more than happy to let me keep. Other times, we'd go to his house and watch a movie. Or ocasionally, we'd go for walks or out to eat. I was starting to recover the Jack I had lost all those years ago.
Right now though, I was watching the minute hand slowly tick on the clock above the chalkboard of my third period math class. I could hear Jack in the corner talking to Edward about some girl. I groaned as I heard Edward compliment the girls ass. Why are boys so gross when it comes to girls? Like, no offence, but I do not care about some bimbos ass.
Finally, the bell rang. I bolted up and gathered my things quickly, slinging my bag over my shoulder and exiting the class.
As I approached the cafeteria, I saw Riley and James chatting animatedly about something as they're hands laid intertwined on the table.
I threw my bag on the table and sat down
"Soooooooooo....can you two quit being all lovey dovey make me feel sick in my tummy for one lunch break so I can actually keep my meal down?" I sweetly smiled.
James chuckled, while Riley rolled her eyes.
"You can talk, seems you've been getting pretty friendly with Jack Donacio" Riley said wriggling her eyebrows.
"We've been friends before, thank you very much" I said looking away.
"Yeah, but something tells me you wanna be more than just friends" she smirked.
"Who wants to be more than friends with who?" Said a voice, startling me.
"GAH!" I jumped.
The mop of messy black hair I had come to recognize appeared next to me, taking a seat by my side.
"Oh nothing, we were just saying how Olivia wants to be more than friends with-"
"A potato!" I shouted.Jack raised an eyebrow, James held back laughter, and Riley just gave me a 'are you serious?' look.
"A potato?" Jack asked.
"Yeah...I mean, potatoes are awesome! You can get crisps, chips, even vodka!" I exclaimed.
"Right...and you want to date...a potato?" He asked.
"Uhm...."
"Hey Jack, when's the next basketball game?" James jumped in.I shot him a 'thank you' glance, to which he nodded.
"It's actually this Saturday, you should come, cheer me on" he said the last bit nudging me with his shoulder.
"Sure, we'd love to" said Riley smiling innocently.
"Great, I guess I'll see you there then" Jack grinned."Yeah....see you there"
