Chapter 16: A worthy nightmare

Vilu: No way, are you serious?! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT. I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU FRAN.

Fran: Shhhhh..... Keep it down. Diego doesn't know it yet. No one does. That's why you have to keep it a secret until I decide to make it official.

Vilu: Keep it a secret?! Fran this is HUGE news. OH I can't wait to be an auntie!

Fran: Violetta, promise me you'll hush okay.

Vilu: Can I at least tell Leon?

Fran: Fine but tell him not to say anything to anyone else. Especially the boys.

Vilu: (Smiled) This is so exciting Fran. I'm so happy for you.

Diego: (Came)

Fran: (Mumbled) Diego's coming. I gotta go. Bye! (Hung up)

Vilu: Wait, Fran?! (Hung up)

Leon: What happened...?

Vilu: Fran hung up on me.

Leon: Why did she do that?

Vilu: She was telling me a secret that nobody is supposed to know, especially Diego. But then he came so she quickly hung up.

Leon: Oh.... What is it...?

Vilu: Ehm...

Leon: Sorry, I forgot. It's a secret isn't it?

Vilu: No, no, no. It is but she told me that I could tell you.

Leon: Okay... then what is it?

Vilu: Ehm.... well.... Fran is pregnant.

Leon: (Smiled) Oh, really?! That's great. I'm so happy for her. Tell her I say congratulations.

Vilu: Yeah but she told you not to tell anyone especially the guys.

Leon: Don't worry, I won't. It's just surprising that's all. Fran's always complaining about having a boy. If she does have one, I'm gonna laugh.

Vilu: You're happy for her huh?

Leon: Well, yeah. She's my friend. I've known her for so long and I'm very happy for her. It must be exciting for her. Wait until Diego finds out. He'll die.

Vilu: Remember when I got pregnant the first and second time? Especially the first time, you were so happy, you were even going to cry. You couldnt believe you were going to be a father.

Leon: Yeah... I remember..... It was the best feeling ever.

Vilu: (Smiled)

Leon: (Kept quiet)

Vilu: Leon.... Ehm I just want to say thank you for doing all this. For following me all the way to the other side of the country just to help me get away from everything. I really appreciate it.

Leon: (Smiled neutrally) Its no problem. You know I'll support you in anything you do.

Vilu: And that is why I'm going to do the same thing while we both are here. I'm going to try and get closer to you. You've sacrificed so much for me. It's only fair I do the same.

Leon: (Kept quiet)

Vilu: (Held his hand) Please Leon, let me try to recover the time I've lost with you. I'll do everything I can to help you replenish the love you have for me. Give me a chance won't you?

Leon: I'm sorry Violetta.

Vilu: What are you sorry for?

Leon: For being like this. I don't know what's wrong with me. You're doing everything you can to get close to me. You even sacrificed your career. I'm just pushing you away. I don't know what I'm supposed to.
