I open my eyes and go to rub the soreness only to find that they are handcuffed to the bed. I thrash in the bed for what seems like ages. I scream bloody murder into nothingness.
"Help! Anyone Help! I have been kidnapped!" I scream into the forever echoing room. The door opens abruptly before a dark shadow enters. "What do you want from me?" The shadow walks slowly until it's standing beside me. The person turned the lamp next to me on, only for me to turn away slightly at the brightness.
I turn back towards the person after I readjusted to the light. The man's face was lit up, exposing his defined features. He bent down beside the bed so that our faces were mere inches apart. His cool breath fanned my face while I tried to curl away from him.
"Who are you?" He asked me in a small whisper. His question confused me, but I still answered him.
"My name is Ophelia Easton... Why did you kidnap me?" I ask still confused.
"You were crossing onto my territory, rouge," He told me through his gritted teeth. My expression changed from confusion to fear. He leans back with the satisfaction of making me terrified.
"What do you mean? What pack is this? What did you do to me?" I press on, making his demeanor change drastically. With frustration and anger clearly written on this alpha's face, I decide that it's probably not the best idea to infuriate him further. He stares into my eyes, clearly noticing my uneasiness.
A knock sounded at the door, echoing throughout the plain room. We both snap our heads toward the oak door.
"Come in," He says very calmly. The door creaked open slowly, revealing a group of five people. A little girl ran through the legs of a middle-aged woman. She runs to the alpha and hops up to give him a hug.
"Alpha Eden!" She yells while tightening her grip around his neck. Alpha Eden hugs the small child back before chuckling lowly. "Who is she?" The little girl whispers in his ear while pointing at me. I continue to calmly observe the scene unfolding in front of me.
"Odelia," The middle-aged woman sternly told the girl who I assume is Odelia. She then scampers over to the woman and hides herself in between her legs. The group of people stands at the foot of the bed while I stay stuck to the top with my arms dangling above me. My state of confusion returns as I turn to look at Alpha Eden. Noticing my stare, he hardens his smile into a mere frown.
"What is it?" He asks coldly.
"Why is my family here?" I question him. Alpha Eden's instant reaction is shock. It's written all over his face. His eyes search mine looking for any traces of dishonesty even though I wasn't lying. I look at my family who had the exact same expression. "What? Did I say something?"
The middle-aged woman, who I recognize as my mom, walks around to the side of the bed. My gaze follows her figure until we're staring into each other's silver eyes.
"We aren't your family," She states very calmly looking directly at me. My mouth opens in shock and doubt.
My silver orbs faze out and stare off into oblivion before recalling all of my fake memories in my childhood. When I said my first words. When I first shifted. When I went on my first pack run. When I went to homecoming. When I met my mate. Those were all fake? My eyes dilate back to their normal state, meeting a pair of dull ones.
"I'm Octave Hayes and this is my mate Bale. We have four gorgeous children... but you are not one of them." She tells me as I scan the faces of the people that I thought I knew.
"No, no, no, no, no," I continue to repeat while thrashing my arms to get out of the handcuffs. I let out a blood curling scream making everyone cover their sensitive ears.
