♥Marie's POV♥
After getting ready for school, I got my bag and hurried to the front door. I made sure to be really early because the girls and I agreed to practice our presentation for the program.
As I stepped onto the front porch, I noticed a bouquet of red roses lying on the floor. I looked around to see who left these here. But no one was in sight.
I picked up the bouquet and saw a note attached to it. It read:
"Happy Valentine's Day, Marie! I Love You♥ -Kris"
I smiled. Kris is the sweetest guy I've ever met. If only he had given these in person...
I counted the roses and saw that there were 11. That's funny, 'cause Kris usually gives 12 roses. It's not that he should always give me 12. It just seems unnatural of him.
"I wonder why Kris gave only 11," I said to myself.
"That's because I wanted to give the last one personally," a voice suddenly said.
Right in front of my house was Kris, who was holding another red rose. He came closer to me and gave the rose.
I laughed and received it. But I noticed that the last rose was plastic, unlike the rest which were real.
"Thank you, Kris. But why is this rose different from the rest?" I asked him.
Kris just smiled and said, "Marie, I promise you that I will love you until the last of those roses die."
I was confused at first because if all the roses die, Kris will stop loving me?
Then, I realized that the last rose was made of plastic and won't ever die.
I blushed, "Thank you Kris. I also promise to love you until the end of time."
He laughed, "Forever and Always?"
"Forever and Always," I confirmed, smiling.
I brought the bouquet inside my house, but took the plastic rose with me. Kris and I then walked to school together. (A/N The school's just near Marie's house)
"Oh, Kris! I almost forgot. Will you be watching the program this afternoon?" I asked.
"Not sure. We have football practice this afternoon. Why?"
"Just please be there later. Please Kris, please," I begged.
"Okay, fine. I'll be there, I promise" he said with a smile.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you Kris!" I exclaimed, giving him a kiss on the cheek.
He laughed.
"Anything for you, my Angel."
It was my turn to laugh. Kris wanted to call me by a name only he can use. So he got Angel from Evangeline, but changed the pronunciation.
"Haha. Kris, do I look like I have a pair of wings and a halo?" I asked, jockingly.
"No, you don't. But you're MY Angel because you gave me light when it was dark and saved me."
I couldn't help but laugh.
"Next time, it'll be my turn to find a nickname for you," I stated.
We both then arrived at the school gate. Kris brought me to my classroom before going to his.
"I'll see you later, okay?" I told Kris.
"Okay, my Angel," he replied, chuckling.
I laughed as well. We both waved goodbye, and I went to practice with the other girls.
I can't wait for this afternoon!
