Petals (Chapter 1)
"I like you, Petal your awesome."
I awoke with a start, although I wish I hadn't because it had been the best dream I have had in like ever!
My name is Paisley Patience Parker, and I assume my parents planned out my initials before I was born. All my friends call me Petal. But don't think I am a super girly girl because of my nickname. My favorite color is yellow and I love to snowboard. I have a terrible fear of heights and a bad memory connected my fear.
"NO I will not!"
I ran outside and started clawing my way up a pine tree in my rage. I had started to calm myself when I sat down on a branch unaware of how far up I was up in the tree. When I was calmed down and looked up, to see the top of the pine tree near my face. I started screaming and flailing until my Mom and Dad came running outside to see what the matter was. I refused to come down for around two hours. The bad part is now everyone teases me about it.
"Paisley there is something I must show you. So please come here."
I run downstairs and see my Mom reading the paper with the heading, SNOWBOARDING FESTIVAL. I immediately ask if i can go.
She answers with a smile and a "Yes dear petal you can."
"Go eat your breakfast and get ready for school you have about a half an hour."
