AN- the characters are based off of people I know irl, but I made up their family life, it's not real lol. Ok Byers 💙💙
Wisteria woke up with a pounding headache. She groaned and sat up, feeling her head gingerly. There was a small lump on her scalp, but it was mostly hidden by her hair, so no one was likely to notice. She stretched her legs and stood up. Her foot was slightly stiff, so she wiggled it around and it warmed up. She sighed and walked into the hallway. For once, the bathroom was free, so she ran inside and shut the door behind her. As soon as she closed the door, someone started pounding on it.
"Wisteria! Open the goddamn door!" one of her brothers yelled.
"Not a chance Lucas, I just got in here!" she yelled back at him.
Wisteria then heard her brother swear under his breath and storm off somewhere, probably back to his room. She heard a door slam, and then her mother yelling. She smiled, then began washing her face.
Amy woke up and glanced at her clock. Her eyes widened and she hurried out of her bed. Her dad was still in bed, and she rolled her eyes at his bedroom door as she hurried past to the bathroom. She quickly started washing her face and brushed her hair.
"I'm gonna be so late, the school is gonna kill me!" she worried as she ran out the door, forgetting her breakfast in her haste. She speeded down the pavement, dealing out apologies as she barged past people on the street. She caught a glimpse of a Wisteria-shaped figure standing on a pavement, and ran blindly towards her. Amy collapsed in Wisterias arms, breathing heavily.
"Whoa Angel, you okay?" Wisteria chuckled, hugging her softly.
"I'm.. I'm.. I'm fine. Just a little out of breath." Amy wheezed.
"A little?" Wisteria questioned, staring down at Amy.
"I was... running late. Literally." she gasped, standing up.
"Ok, are you alright now?" Wisteria asked, concerned.
Amy nodded, smiling, her breathing back to normal. They started walking to get Jacob at his house.
"My dad isn't up yet." Amy said, staring at the ground.
"You mean up out of his bed?" Wisteria asked nervously.
Amy sighed.
"Out of his bed and out of his slump. I don't know what's wrong with him, I don't understand why he can't just get a job." Amy said, blinking back tears.
"Oh, Angel." Wisteria whispered.
"And yeah, I know my mum has a job and she's doing great, but it's not enough to support us. I've been thinking about getting a part time job at weekends, but it still won't be enough. I just don't know what to do." Amy said, voice thick.
Wisteria pulled her in for a hug, while Amy cried into her shoulder. They stood there for a while, until Amy started suppressing her sobs.
"Are you ok?" Wisteria whispered.
"Yeah." she sniffed.
Wisteria smiled, and Amy smiled back at her. They continued walking to Jacobs house in silence. Jacob was leaning on his fence, waiting for them. When he spotted them, a smile broke on his face. He started walking towards them slowly, and Amy smiled at him.
"Hey, you ok?" Jacob asked kindly.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Amy sniffed.
Jacob glanced at Wisteria, who nodded.
"Okay then." he sighed.
They started walking to school together, talking quietly.
"How's the girl?" Amy whispered.
"Shhh! She's fine." Jacob replied.
"What? I whispered!" Amy protested.
Jacob grinned at her, and she rolled her eyes at him, but she was smiling too.
They walked into school, Wisteria and Jacob keeping their heads down.
"Hey, Amy! Come and hang out with the normal people today for a change!" the popular girls yelled at Amy.
Amy smiled sweetly at them.
"I'd rather hang out with the people who aren't 'normal' than people who are complete bitches, thanks for the offer though!" she yelled back at them even louder.
They scoffed and turned away, bright red. Everyone turned to stare at them, and whispered amongst themselves.
"What are you all staring at? There's nothing to see here! Move along!" Amy said, walking along the corridor, Wisteria and Jacob following close behind.
"That was amazing Angel!" Wisteria exclaimed once they were inside.
"Someone needed to say it." she shrugged, grinning at Wisteria and Jacob.
"Ok, I'll see you at lunch." Jacob waved as he walked to his next class.
"Bye!" Wisteria and Amy waved as they went to their next class.AN- short chapter but yOOO DUDES IM BACK HAHAHAHA
