Flora's POV

"I told you to leave me alone Kaiden"

"Well you should know that I don't usually follow the rules"

"I'm seriously this close to getting you a restraining order"

I indicated with my index finger and thumb the small amount I was talking about.

"Come on now, don't treat your boyfriend like that," he teased.

"Ex-boyfriend," I corrected.

"And can you please turn the damn lights on because believe it or not, you look even more creepy when your face is just lit up by a phone in a dark supply closet," I explained.

"Alright alright, just wanted to make the experience a bit more dramatic," he complained.

"There's a difference between a dramatic moment and a desperate attempt that resulted into a creepy meeting in a supply closet," I said knowingly.

Kaiden reached past me and switched on the lights that of course, I didn't find when I needed them. Only me. Just me.

Once the dim lights lit up the closet, the whole of Kaiden was now in view. He hasn't really changed since we broke up nearly a year ago. He still had the same bed of sandy hair that swooshed into a perfect quiff and emerald eyes that gleamed with interest up and down myself. He was still as tall and broad when I first met him. I still don't understand how I never saw our differences when we first started going out.

He was considered a 'jock' and unfortunately, he didn't change that when with me. He cared more about his ego than trying to keep our relationship.

"Now you see me," Kaiden said huskily.

"Unfortunately," I answered.

"Still sarcastic as hell I see," he commented. He leaned back against the shelves with his arms crossed and a smirk on his pretty face.

"Well you wouldn't know considering how uninterested you were in getting to know me," I said truthfully.

His face expression dropped a little which showed how unexpected that reply was. Was he expecting me to jump into his arms without any hesitation whilst romantic music played in the background with rose petals raining down on us? That's a lot of expectation for him to hope for in a supply closet.

"Still thinking out loud as well I see," Kaiden added.

"Damn," I muttered.

"Aw, don't you worry don't you worry child, I'm sure you'll be jumping into my arms soon, along with the rose petals and romantic music," Kaiden said with a high, airy voice.

"I doubt that... did you just use a lyric from that song--"

"Moving on," Kaiden cut me off. His attempt at wowing me have long gone at this point and to make it even worse, I was hungry.

"So...how have you been?" he asked casually. He was acting as if we were just having our daily get together...which we weren't.

"I want to go home Kaiden," I annonced, ignoring his question completely.

"Well that's rude, not answering my attempt at a convorsation starter," he complained, sounding hurt.

I squinted my eyes at him and questioned in my head if he was being serious or was playing a prank. I couldn't care less which one he was doing though to be honest. But if he was actually being serious, I would however worry and possibly call a mental hospital to pick him up from the school. After getting some food. Chewing before doing, that's what I always say-
