A Summer Like No Other Ch 1

Alright wattpad readers, this is my first story EVER on watt pad. I didn't know if anyone would even read this, so this first chapter is extremly short. Sorry. But if everyone likes it and COMMENTS and VOTES then I will definetly write more. So PLEASE comment and vote! So here it goes

Chapter 1:

"beep beep beep!"

I could here my alarm clock beeping, but I couldn't get my body to move out of bed. I had been out so late last night and I wanted to sleep just a little bit longer.

My name is Nicole and I am 16 years old. I live with my dad and step mom Nancy. We live in East Falmouth Cape Cod Massachusetts, and both my dad and Nancy work at the Seacrest hotel. The hotel is convenently located on the beach, and it is about five minutes away from our house. My dad is the manager at the Seacrest, and Nancy is in charge of all the events that take place at the hotel.

I know most of you are probably wondering about my real mom, but honestly I don't really know too much about her. All I know is that she left my dad and I when I was about two, and my dad has told me that I look alot like her. So Nancy is like my mom, she's not evil like you hear in all the stories and movies, she is more like a friend or sister to me.

I got out of bed and went to my dresser. Even though summer break started about a week ago, I am still getting up at 7:00am to go to work. This summer I'm working as a lifegard with my best friend Kelsey. I reached into the top draw of my dresser and found my two piece lifegard swim sute. I quickly put it on along with some sunblock and ran downstairs.

Dad and Nancy were already drinking their coffee at the table. I said good morning quickly and grabbed myself a breakfast bar. As I was about to leave, Nancy asked

" Whats the rush Nicole?"

I told here that I was suppse to meet Kelsey at the clubhouse in five minutes before our shift started. I guess this was an okay answer because she let me go to my car without any further questions.

When I pulled up to the beach, I went straight to my usual parking spot. A small section of the soon to be crowded lot was reserved for all lifegards and workers, so it was easy enough to find a spot. As I was walking toward the clubhouse, I could see Kelsey waving to me.

" Hey kels!" I yelled.

When I got closer to her she said

" Guess what?"

Like anyone I replied "what?"

Kelsey said " There is a new guy, and he is your partner.Oh ya and he's super HOT!"

This got my attention. All of the lifegards worked with a partner. Kelsey and I had wanted to be partners this sumer, but of course this new guy would be ok too;)

Then Kelsey said " Don't look now but he's staring at you!"
