Chapter 2

ZAKS POV

We were on our way back from a long lockdown, 3 weeks actually. we were sitting on the plane and Aaron as usual was pumped full of energy while Nick and I were beyond tired. How he does it I'll never know, but I have an idea that it's all in the amount of coffee he consumes on a regular basis. Looking out the window my thoughts go Gracie and I miss her, and my bed. Can't forget about the bed. I wanted to crawl into it and sleep for as long as I could.

Befor I knew it the seatbelt sign came on to begin our descent. After a much too bumpy landing we finally stopped and were let off to make our way to baggage claim.

Just as we got to the corral I here screeching to my left. I make the mistake of looking only to see 2 girls running waving their hands towards me. I growl under my breath as this crap is not what I want to deal with right now. But I outwardly put a smile on my face as I sign autographs and take pictures.

After we finally get our things and out of the airport it was 11am. Even though it was early we were greeted by the sweltering desert sun.

"Give me a call later to go over some evidence alright guys" I quickly say as I walk towards my car.

" No problem man we'll talk to you later man" billy says back

I make it to my car , quickly putting my bags in the trunk and climbing in. I start the car and put the air conditioning on. Letting it hit my skin making me shiver, I love Vegas but I will never get used to this heat!

Slowly I put out into traffic and make my way home. The traffic is bad today, but being a Saturday there's bound to people as people make their way here for a weekend of fun. I find myself nodding off as I'm sitting in traffic and fight just to stay awake. I turn the radio on loudly to see if that helps. It does a little bit as I slowly inch my car back home. Coming up to a turn off I decide to take it. It's a pain taking the long way but with traffic I'll still make it home quicker.

I finally make it home and I'm relived to be pulling into my lane way. I quickly climb out grabbing my bag and walk up to the front door. As I open it Gracie comes running out of the kitchen and practically runs me over while greeting me at the door.

"Heya Gracie girl" I coo at her while petting her all over and letting me give her plenty of kisses.

I look over as my assistant CC walks up.

"Hey Zak, how was your trip?" She asks

"Really good, was definatly one of the most intense ones we've done yet! And I can't wait to see what kind of footage we got"

" That's great! I can't wait to see the episode" she smiles. " But I've got a ton of stuff I have to get done today, so Just call me if you need anything alright?" she says walking out the door.

I pull my shoes off and lug my bags up to my room followed by Gracie. I walk into my room and throw my bag down. I can't be bothered to unpack right now. I lay down on my bed and do t even realize I've fallen asleep.

Next thing I know my phone is going off and it's dark outside. Groggily I rub my face trying to wake myself up and be coherent enough to answer the phone befor the machine picks it up.

"Hello?" I manage to get out.

"Yo zak what's up?" Aaron asks a little excitedly.

"Not much man just waking up"

"Ah bro I didn't wake you up did I?"

"Yeah that's aright though , have to get at some point I guess" I mumble "what's up?"

"Nothing I was thinking of going to out tonight for some drinks if your up to it?" he asks

"Yeah I guess I'm up for it. We can do evidence and work tomorrow afternoon I guess"

"Awesome man, I'll be by your place around 9!" he's definately too excited

I hang up the phone and sit up in bed as Gracie comes over. Not wanting to actually move yet and let the rest of my wake up, I decide to just sit there and pet her.

I finally look at my phone seeing it's only 730 pm but I should get up and start moving. I walk into my washroom and quickly jump in the shower. Next is shaving and my hair. Then clothes.

Pretty soon my doorbell is ringing as Aaron is walking in the door " you ready bro?" He asks

"Just putting my shoes on then I'm good to go" for the millionth time wanting to just stay home.

I grab my wallet phone and keys though and follow Aaron out. We take my car though because I don't exactly trust his driving abilities. It doesn't take long until we pull up to the club. There's a line up outside, but luckily for us we know the bouncer. After parking the car we walk up past the line up as people smile recognizing who we are. I love the fame I do but I'm hoping that I don't have to deal with a lot of people tonight.

Walking up to the bouncer he wavesus through , earning us some dirty looks from some of the people in the line up.

Oh well though, it's all about who you are and know in this town. My mood picks up as we walk into the bar and I'm not sure if it's because I'm more awake or if it's the best of the music. Either way for the first time tonight I am happy to be out of my house.
