The Airport

It's summertime right now. I'm psyched! Every summer, Dad takes us to these awesome places. Last year, it was Key West. This year, it's Oahu.

I sit in between my brother and my mom in the airport. Sitting patiently, I watch my father talk to one of the guys from his work. I see a four year old tugging on his father's pant leg, ushering his father to pick him up. His father's too busy talking to my dad.

I reach into my backpack to find a pack of gummy worms. I walk over to the boy and kneel down to give him the pack. I turn around and ask the father, politely if the boy could have some. The father continued talking to Dad, without even realizing that I asked him a question. I turn back to the kid to see he had already shoved some in.

I smile and say, "I'm sure it's fine."

The boy nods whilst gummy worms dangling from his lips.

I walk back over to see that my little brother had set his legs over on to my seat.

"Please move." I say, politely.

"Nope, no-can-do." He replies.

"Please!" I'm becoming impatient.

"What's in it for me?" He asks.

"I'll tell everyone that your eleven." I answer.

"I'll tell everyone you're fourteen," he says, "how does that have to do with anything?"

"You didn't let me finish. I'll tell everyone that you're eleven, and you still wet the bed." I smirk.

He quickly moves his legs back to the floor.

I hear a muffled voice coming from the intercom. Dad walks over to us and says that it's time to board the plane. I hop up and follow him in to the terminal. I can't wait to get there! We're going to have so much fun!
