Confusion

Chapter 14

Sophie

When I wake up, the room is bathed in darkness. Normally when I wake up, it's already bright outside. Since Liz has gone missing {22 hours} I have found myself more anxious than ever before in my life. I don't thing that it is only due to Liz going missing, because if she had been missing from her house, I would have been distraught, but not worried. To know that a kidnapper can get into your house, let alone your room, is scary. I attempt to fall back asleep, but that's not going to happen. I get up, my feet lightly touching the floor, and get my phone, almost texting Liz.

Instead, I go on Instagram, sliding through pictures of their exciting summer holidays. Again, this upsets me. We had plans to go to Greece in 3 weeks, but now, unless Liz is found, we won't be going. Frustrated by everything disappointing me, I exit Instagram, and go to YouTube, and watch Danisnotonfire. He's hilarious, and I forget everything for a bit. But then I hear the maids waking up, and walking down the halls. And then I realise how early I must have woken up, the maids get up at 6:45. As soon as the maids are up, I can eat breakfast, so I get up. I don't think we are doing anything today, and as it is raining outside, we'll be inside. I put on black leggings, a grey sweater with thumbholes, and a grey and black tank top under it. I choose not to put shoes on, just fuzzy socks. After getting dressed, I go downstairs, and see Lynn. She looks surprised to see me up so early, but she doesn't say anything. It's not her place.

"Lynn, could you tell the cook that I'm ready for breakfast? Thank you." She nods and walks off, presumably to the kitchens. I sit down at the large table in the dining room, and feel alone. Mum and dad won't be up for another 2 hours at least. Having no one to talk to, my mind drifts to the subject of Liz.

I don't get why she went missing. Why Liz? Did they mean to get me? Am I next?

A/N: So this week is Spring Holiday from school, so I'll probably be updating more than the schedule says. But I will going somewhere for a few days, and I'm not sure there is going to be wifi. But in the trip I will write, so don't freak out. Bye!
