A few days later

Sean's POV
It's been a few days since the doctor told us Sandra has anemia.She's been at her room for a few days and she missed school so much.

I grabbed the medicine the doctor gave to us.While I was about to go upstairs I saw Signe holding a tray.

"Oh hey Signe.What's that your holding?"I say.

"Oh this.It's chicken noodle soup.I know how much Sandra likes this soup so much."Signe says.

I smiled at her."I just can't believe she has anemia and we didn't even noticed it."I say disappointed.

Signe looks at me."Hey don't be like that babe.At least we treated her anemia early.Remember what the doctor said?We were lucky that we brought our baby girl to the hospital."Signe says.

"Maybe you're right Signe."I say and smiled at Signe.

"Now are we going up to Sandra's room Sean?Or are we just gonna stay here talking to each other?"Signe says and raised one of her eyebrows at me.

I laughed as we headed upstairs to Sandra's room.

I leaned my head on the door to tell Signe to open the door.

Signe raised one of her eyebrows at me again.

"Sean I ain't opening the door.Can't you see I'm holding something?"Signe says.

"Oh right."I say and open the door.

"Hi princess.How you doing?"I say.

We saw Sandra lying on her bed.

Sandra's POV
Ughhh...I hate being sick.I already missed a couple of days at school.I miss my friends Sam and Brittany.

I miss my teacher Ms.Lily.She's the best teacher ever.I wonder what she's teaching right now at school?

My thoughts were interrupted as mommy and daddy entered my room.

I pulled away my blanket as mommy and daddy went into my direction.

"Hi princess.How you doing?"daddy says.

"I'm good."I say and smile at mommy and daddy.Mommy places a tray in my bed.What is that?It smells good!!

"Mommy what is that?"I say and pointed to the bowl mommy was holding.

Mommy takes a spoonful of it."It's chicken noodle soup sweetie."mommy says.

Wait did she just say chicken noodle soup?I love chicken noodle soup!!Give me some!

Mommy started feeding me with the soup.Oh yeah.Soo delicious.No you can't have some readers!!!

Mommy only made it for me!!

After I finished the soup mommy fetches me a glass full of water.I some of the water and I wiped my mouth using my hand.

"Alright Sandra.Now it's time for your medicine."daddy says.

Wait what did daddy says?!Medicine?!No way.I'm not drinking medicine.It's bitter!I only like things that are sweet.

Daddy starts pouring some of the medicine in a spoon.Mommy starts stroking my hair.

"Alright Sandra open up."daddy says and holds the spoon in me.I tilted my head.

"Come on Sandra open up."daddy says.I tilted my head again.

Daddy looks at me."Sandra open up!"daddy says.I tilted my head again.You'll never make me drink that medicine.

"Sandra come on.If you drink this your anemia will be gone forever."Mommy says.

"And what does that mean?"I questioned mommy and daddy.Mommy and daddy looked at each other and chuckled.

"It means you'll see your friends and you can now also go back to school."daddy says.

Wait?!Did daddy just say I can see my friends and go back to school again?!Well I do want to go back to school and see my friends.

Alright I'll drink my medicine.I opened up my mouth as daddy puts the medicine in my mouth.

Yuck!It tastes bitter but worth it to go back to school."Don't you dare spit it out young lady."daddy says.I swallowed it.

"Now if you need anything else sweetie call us."Mommy says.

And with that mommy and daddy finally left my room.Great now back to the boring part where I lie on my bed and do nothing for the rest of the day.

Two days later

Sandra's POV
I don't know if I'm still sick but I feel great.I have the feeling to play outside now.

I was just about to go outside until mommy and daddy came in.

"Sandra quick.I'll help you get dressed."Mommy says.I looked at her confused.Dressed for what?

"Where we going?"I say.Daddy looks at me."We're going to the hospital sweetie.We need to give you a check up."daddy says.

Mommy puts my clothes on.After thay we went inside the car and daddy started driving.

After minutes of driving we finally reached the hospital.Me and mommy sat down as waited for the doctor to call us.

"Sandra Ann McLoughlin?"I hear a voice from a distance.Finally after minutes of waiting again.

Three of us went inside the doctor's room and sat down."So what seems to be the problem?"the doctor says.

"Our daughter has anemia and we want to know if her anemia's gone?"daddy says.

"I see."the doctor pointed his stethoscope at my chest to check my heart beat.Man it feels cold.

"Her heart's at good condition."the doctor says.The doctor took out another equipment and strapped it on my arm.I wonder what is this?

"Her blood pressure's normal."the doctor says and unstraps the thing that was on my arm.

"Now all she needs is one last test.That way we can determine her anemia."the doctor says and took out a syringe.

No I hate syringes?!They hurt so bad.I move away a little."Sandra don't be afraid."mommy says.

"Just close your eyes so you can't see the syringe."daddy says."Okay."I closed my eyes as the doctor inserted the syringe in me.It hurts a little!!

"Now that I have a sample of her blood.We need to run some tests.This may take awhile Mr and Mrs McLaughlin."the doctor says.

We exited the room and sat on the chairs to wait for my blood results.

A few hours later

Signe's POV
It's been three hours and we're still waiting for Sandra's blood results.Finally the doctor asked us to come in his room again.

"Good news Mr and Mrs.McLoughlin.According to the blood test we took the results were good."the doctor says.

"What do you mean?"Sean questioned.

"Your daughter's anemia's now gone."the doctor says.All of us smiled accept Sandra.

"Mommy what does this mean?"Sandra questioned.I chuckled at her."It means you're not sick anymore princess.You can finally go to school."I say.

Sandra's POV
Wait did mommy just say I can finally go to school?As in really go to school?

"Really mommy?!"I say.Mommy and daddy nodded to me.I jumped with joy.

Yes I can finally go to school!!"Alright princess.Let's go home now."daddy says.We went inside the car and daddy started driving all the way to home.

I'm so happy my anemia's gone.Now I can finally go to school and see my friends Sam and Brittany again.
