Chapter Five : Before The Storm

After returning to my room I knocked out before I was able to change. The following day I awoke with a sudden jolt. Only to notice I was running late for work. I carelessly neglected my phone as I took off.

 Before I knew it my lunch break was here. I went to Subway to grab a bite to eat . While finishing off my turkey sandwich I pulled out my phone for the first time. 

Oh god ... I forgot about the message I sent on tinder  

As I clicked the app open a few of my friends / coworkers pulled up a seat next to me. Hunter took that moment to remind me of our double date.

"Hey , you better not  get cold feet and cancel on me."  

"You guys made plans with out me? So much for bestfriends.. "  Smith replied before I could make a comment. 

"Smithy don't be like that , its a double date . Look , if you want you can take my place." 

"No , Sorry to break it to you I already shared your photo with the girls , so you have to come ." Hunter butted in. 

Don't get me wrong I wasn't the best looking in the group if anything Smith was , which made more sense for him to go on the double date than me. But I did promise ,  me and my stupid mouth. 

 " You know Morgan doesn't back out from a promise , chill Hunter." Parker finally spoke up. 

" Thanks man , he's right. Hunter have I ever let you down before? "

" No , yeah.  Just I like this girl I don't want to mess this night up " Hunter replied back.

" Alright well its time to head back to work. Don't worry man I will be on my best behavior." I stated to Hunter to calm him down. 

I started to head back as I began to curse myself since I missed my chance to see what Teresa replied.  I wasn't fixed on her but she was pretty cute and I still didn't want to leave a bad impression.

Once out of work I reached for my phone to message back Teresa. She asked if I had a dog . Maybe she's into animals apparently chicks look for that.

I started to type away a reply and since I was a day late might as well throw an apology in.

Kyle:  Hey , I know it's a bit early to  start showing some of my finer qualities . I don't usually take so long to reply. I'm sorry , I fell a sleep early yesterday and had to jump straight into work today.  With that being said, to answer your question no I do not have a dog or any pets for that matter. 

Glad to finally get that off my chest. I headed home to get ready for my double date.
