"I'm so sorry you have to go through this man. No one should ever experience this. I know she's your girlfriend." James, a guy from school on the football team, came in to visit her.

"I love her dude. You never believe in love at first sight until it happens to you." I told him.

"Yeah. Looks like it. You would either move on from the girl by now or mess with another while with the girl." James said.

"Yeah. I know. Tam is different than the other girls. She's weird but in a cute way. She actually cares about me. Like dude she risked her life for me so I wouldn't get hurt at all."

"She risked her life for you?"

"Yeah. That's how she ended up in here. If it wasn't for me, she wouldn't be in a coma right now."

"Adym. Have you eaten at all since Tam has gotten here?" Maddie walked in and said.

"No and i'm not hungry either." I told her looking at Tam.

"When was the last time you ate?"

"When me and Tam got in that fight about Grayson." I said casually.

"That was 2 days ago. You need to eat, Adym." Maddie said concerned.

"I'm not leaving her side. Let alone this room. I want to be the first face she sees when she wakes up."

"Don't you mean 'if'" James said.

"What? She's going to wake up. You should know that. She's a fighter." I said looking him in the eye.

"I'm gonna go get you some food from Sally's." Maddie said leaving the room.

She came back about 30 minutes later with mac and cheese for me. James had left a few minutes after Maddie did. She set it down on the table across the room and walked over to me and just kind of stared at Tam.

"She was my best friend. I know I didn't know her for very long but it feels like I've known her our whole lives. Why would someone want to do this to someone this nice?" Maddie said.

"I think I can answer that." a voice came from the door. It was Haley with Z in the doorway.

"See, Jake always complained how Tam left him for 'some other guy' he never knew. Said he 'loved her' and shit. I don't believe it for a second." Haley started.

"He was obsessed with her. Wanted to get revenge for leaving him but she left him for a great reason. He was abusive to her. After their dates that they would go on, she would come home with bruises and scratches. Please Adym. Don't go find him and hurt him more. You did enough damage to him. He has five broken ribs, fractured jaw, broken nose, and much more. You did what I wanted to do to him for years." Z finished off.

"Well he did hurt her. She needs to be protected and that was my job. Instead, I was dumb for getting mad at her about hanging out with Grayson. It was an innocent lunch and I blew my job. Got her doing some dumb shit like roaming the woods by herself. Especially when she knew she was getting those texts from A." I rambled.

"Yeah, there's something you should see on her phone. It's another unknown number. It's not from the A person because I always was the one to send them." Haley said handing Tam's phone.

I look at the phone and read the text.

Unknown: Go in the woods alone or Adym gets hurt -JS

"She obviously risked her life for yours. If you didn't think she loved you before this, you know now." Haley said.

Just then, a flat line came on the EKG. Doctors came rushing in taking us out the room. I refused to go but Maddie practically dragged me out the room. I started freaking out. Pacing the floors and hyperventilating. About 10 minutes later, a nurse comes out with sorrow on her face. Uh oh. That look can never be good. She can't be gone.

A/N hey guys. i have a confession.  i have a change in the name. i know this is an Adym Yorba book but i like Colby Brock a lot. he's been on my mind for a while so i'm going to keep going with this book but if i have colby's name in the book in place of adyms just know that it's still an adym fanfiction. i just dont recognize that i said colby instead of adym. my next book will definitely be about colby since i can never get him out of my mind. he's just so cute and awkward and i love it. sorry i keep rambling. anyways love y'all and thanks for reading this. it's almost done btw💕💕💕
