After swimming all across the sea, he finally reaches the patch of forest.

He climbs on to the shore. The air smelled of trees and dew. It was beautiful.
His supernatural powers made sure he was completely dry by the time he reached. You know, like Percy Jackson.
Now he can smell something else too. A tiger?
Yes, he can sense it too. The tiger is somewhere nearby.
The tiger didn't need any supernatural powers to smell JK out. Moreover, JK has this powerful smell around him (which, in truth, actually stinks). It usually doesn't take a genius to sniff him out.

Anyway, right now, they both are trying to find the other one first.
JK sees a monkey on a tree and asks him if he saw a tiger wandering around. Well, they're speaking Monkey. It'll be hard to understand if I type it up.
''Nay.'', says the monkey. ''Didn't see a tiger anywhere around.''
JK decides to use his smell-sense to sense the tiger for the rest of the way.
The truth is, they were too close that they missed each other. Just when JK turned after talking to the monkey, the tiger had flown right under his nose. Of course, his smell-sense caught it, but his common sense didn't. :(
