I stood up and walked to the desk.
I slammed my detention essay onto her desk and kept my hand there.
She jumped slightly looking up at me.
"Can I leave now?" I asked annoyed at having to write a four paged essay.
She nodded and I slung my bag over my shoulder.
Slamming the door shut on my way out I walked to my locker.
No one was in the school at this hour except for me and my teacher.
I shoved my books into my bookbag making sure I closed my locker right.
I ran towards the doors pushing them open.
The hot summer air hit my face as I began walking.
I listened to the cars passing by and watched the lights change.
A whistling female began walking next to me. Close to me.
I tried my best to ignore her but she was so loud.
"Excuse me but do you mind?" I asked in an annoyed tone.
"My bad." She replied and slowed down her walking.
I shoved my hands deep in my pockets as I speed walked to my house.
-
I unlocked the door with my key and threw my stuff down."Honey is that you?" My mom called from the kitchen.
"Yeah ma. I had detention. "
"Again? You've got to do better baby."
I sighed and walked to the kitchen. She was cooking God knows what and still shaking her head.
Walking upstairs I heard her talking to herself.
I plopped on my bed not having a care in the world.
I looked up to the ceiling and just stared, getting lost in my own world.
"Dinners ready!" My mom called.
Slipping on my slides I ran down the stairs and into the kitchen.
My plate was already made so I prayed and ate.
"Andrea...."
I looked up.
"Tomorrow I have someone I want you to meet. He is very nice."
I began choking on my food.
"He?" I barely croaked out
She nodded.
"I lost my appetite. Goodnight mom." I said putting my fork down.
I ran up the stairs closing my door.
I felt sick.
My father died this year and I haven't been the same.
Just hearing another man in the picture makes me slightly nauseous.
I leaned over and shut off my lamp and wrapped the covers around my body.
I soon drifted off to sleep.
