I woke up the next morning to a blue bird singing by my window. I almost forgot I wasn't at my place. I rose to my feet and walked out to the kitchen.

Eran sat down in the dinning room, reading a book. I go and sit beside her.

"Ah, good morning Sophia. How did you sleep?"
"I slept well. How about you?"
"I slept good too." She chuckled and walked over to the stove.

She pulls out a big platter of egg casserole. It smells delicious. Eran put a plate down in front of me.

"Are you hungry? Would you like some?"
"Eh- yes please. Thank you ma'am."
"Of course." Eran cut me out a chunk of the casserole and set it on my plate.

I ate the whole thing in what felt like seconds. I want more but I don't wanna look like a pig.

"All done? You can have more."
"Oh, no thank you ma'am. Im full."

I lean back into my chair and take a glance out the window.
Roland crouched down in the garden. It looks like he's planting something.

He wipes his forehead, moving his hair out of his face. He fixed his thick rimmed glasses, then rose to his feet.

I see him let out a sigh. He turned his head in my direction in a swift motion. His eyes met mine and he gave me a small wave.

I wave back and turn to Eran who was watching me.

"So you guys go to school together?" She said while putting the casserole back in the oven to stay warm.

"Yeah, we do."
"Thats nice. You guys get along?"
"Actually." I say as I scratch the back of my head. "I never really talked to him before now."
"Hmm, yep. I understand. He's not much of a talker to other people. If he smiled more, than maybe. But he only chats with people he finds interesting."

Eran shot me a smile. "He thinks your interesting for sure."

Whats that supposed to mean? I don't think I'm interesting at all.

I open my mouth to reply to Erans comment but the back door swung open and Roland walked in.

"Mmm, you planted the flowers?" Eran said.
"Yeah." Roland walked over to the sink to clean himself up.

He hung his gardening gloves up and took off his apron that was covered in dirt and mud.

He walked over and took a seat in the open chair next to me.
"So. You ate the casserole?"

I look at his face. He stared out the window as he spoke.
"Yeah."
"Did you like it? Did it need anything extra?"
"No! It was perfect just the way it was. I liked it a lot."

"Hmm." Roland stood to his feet and walked to get his jacket.
I'm pretty sure I saw him smile, but maybe I'm just seeing things.

"I can drive you home now. If you want."
"Oh, right. Thank you."

We walk over to the front door. It was circled by windows. The wood was carved with beautiful designs.

Eran came up and put her hand on my shoulder.
"Feel free to come over when ever you'd like. I really enjoyed having someone besides Roy." She chuckled.

"Thank you, Eran." I gave her a smile and me and Roland walk out to his car. It was almost as black as his hair. Nice, smooth, and clean too.

We get into the vehicle and Roland looks at me.
"Sorry, if she.. makes you feel overwhelmed. She's pretty good at that."

"Oh no, she's fine. She seems like a good person. I can tell she means well." I give him a smile to reassure him.

"Im glad you think so." He looks away with a smirk of his own.
