Genes POV
Dante bolted out of the theater. This must have been his plan. To get me and Kitty here just to abandon us and trick us into a date. I hate him and i love him so much right now. Im just so nervous to be alone with kitty. What's gonna happen? I have no clue but I'm scared.

We walk into the movie theatre after purchasing our tickets from a really nice girl named Melantha. She looked young. Probably about 16 or 17 but I'm not good at guessing ages. She has light brown skin with long brown hair and blonde highlights hanging in front of her left eye. I don't really like the hair over the eye thing. Like how can you see?? but It looked quite good in my opinion. Way better than that emo kids from school

I think she had fangs. That or just sharp teeth. But she told me about when you get a large popcorn bowl you can go back out during the movie and get a free refill when you give them the little tab on the bowl. And that was great news because I'm all for free food!

She was really nice and she even helped us get the best bang for our buck - side note never say that ever again-

Anyways we walk into the movie theater and we find are seats. They're awesome we can see the whole screen close up and there's nobody tall sitting in front of us. It doesn't matter though, I won't really be watching the movie anyways. I'll be too distracted by kitty.

I wonder if she is as nervous as I am...

My palms are sweaty and I think I'm shaking a little. Ugh why does she do things like this to me without even knowing. I hate it.

The previews come on and I look over at her.
She's so beautiful, I can't take my eyes off of her. She's so focused on the movie screen  I don't even think she notices. 

I stare for a bit longer until she turns to me.

"Were you staring at me? Do I have something on my face??" She said a little worried as she put her hand to her face feeling for something.

My face goes red, Oh god. What do I say. This is so awkward. She caught me starting. I need an excuse.

I can't think of a good one. Uhhh should I just tell her the truth?  I can't. She's already rejected me. She'll hate me.

"I-I just think you look really n-nice" I mumble hoping she wouldn't hear.
Damn I shouldn't have said that. It's creepy coming from me.

I tilt my head down and look at my shoes shoving popcorn into my mouth to avoid conversation. (Pro tips from Garte XD) I'm not sure of the expression on her face I can't see it from here.

I hope she's not upset. What if I just ruined her night. Just like her sleepover. That was a stupid move on my part. I don't what I was thinking. That she'd actually like me back. Fat chance.

"Thank you, Gene"

My head darts up and my heart flutters when she says my name. I flash a small smile. I wasn't expecting her to respond.

We're a little ways into the movie now  I have no idea what's going on or what it's about. I'm so nervous.

I reach my hand into the popcorn bowl and my hand touches hers. (Cliché, I know)
My face goes red and we both jerk or hands back. Realizing there's not much popcorn left I get an idea.

"I-I'll go get a refill" I say as I smile and grab the bowl, walking back out to the lobby.

I see the same girl from before at the counter. She smiles at me. I see her teeth more clearly now. Those definitely look like fangs.

"Refill, sir?"

"Y-yeah thanks" I say and I hand her the bowl.

She walks over to the popcorn machine and starts to fill up our bowl.

"So...how's your date?" She casually asks

"W-w-what? It's not a date I s-swear" I stutter out and she just chuckles and gives me a look.

"O-okay it is. And it's going awful" I admit
"Aww I'm sure it's fine. What happened?"

"Well I said she looked nice but it sounded creepy and I was staring at her instead of the movie and she noticed"

"Butter?" She asks
"Yes please"

She moves over to the butter machine pouring the fake butter all over the newly popped popcorn.

"Go on.." she says

"O-oh well then we touched hands in the popcorn so I came out here"

"Ohh bad move" she states simply as she slides the popcorn over to me from across the counter. I see her eyes are now green. I could've swore they weren't earlier.

"W-what, r-really?"  I panic

"She's gonna think your not interested if you run when anything romantic happens. It will make her feel like you don't wanna spend time with her."

"What!! That's not the case at all"
"Then you better get back in there"

"Thanks Melantha" i say after checking her nametag yo be sure I got it right. I smile and head act to the movie doors
"Good luck!" She yells after me as I walk into the movie theater.

Okay. Deep breaths. Calm down. You got this gene. You're the man. Yeah. I'm the man!

Oh god I'm not the man......
