Clementine x Duck (Cluck)

Chapter 1

Clementine was 11 years old now.She was slowly growing up.She was realizing how cruel this world was.It had taken everything and everyone she loved away from her.Lee,Christa,Omid,Luke,Nick,Sarah,Rebecca,everyone...All she had now was Kenny,little AJ and her best friend Duck.She had been with Duck ever since she was 8 years old and they had grown attached to each other.He was 13 now,just 2 years older than her.But that didnt matter since they were practically siblings now.It was starting to get cold so they had to move to Wellington and find someplace to stay for a bit to shelter themselves from the cold and look for food and clean water.It was a long way to Wellington.They were almost there but it was starting to get dark so they had to stay somewhere safe for the night.They had found a place that was clear of walkers so Kenny parked the truck there."Here we are kids.Safe and clear of walkers." Kenny exclaimed happily.The kids smiled and Clementine looked down at the small AJ she was holding.God,was he beautiful.She wondered why he had to be born at this time.It was the worst time for a baby to be born and she was scared that he wouldn't survive but every day they all made sure him and everyone survived.Good thing Kenny had gotten the pickup truck to start up so they at least had some cover from the cold.Clementine also had the jacket Bonnie had given her and Duck had his warm jacket as well.Suddenly Duck noticed something.A little further away there was a small wooden cabin."Hey dad, look there's a cabin down there.How about me and Clem go and check it out?" Duck asked his father "Well okay go but leave AJ here and be really careful." Kenny replied and Clementine handed him the baby and her and Duck exited the truck and went inside the cabin.Luckily the door was unlocked so they were able to open it.Duck held the door open for Clementine and held out his hand to get her inside."Ladies first" Duck smiled "Oh thanks Ducky" She ruffled his hair and went inside smiling.Duck followed her and jumped a bit when he was caught off guard and jumped from Clementine's gasping and took out his gun and pointed it to the air.Then he put away his gun when he noticed that she had gasped because she saw a chocolate bar and a big water bottle on the table."Look,food and water!" Clementine exclaimed happily as she grabbed the big water bottle."You get the chocolate." She told Duck "Hey,Im not that weak!" He said in an irritated childish tone."Kay,whatever." Clementine said carelessly as she left the cabin with Duck following her.They got to the truck and went inside."Dad look at what we found in the cabin!" Duck said excited and Kenny smiled "Good find kids." He said proudly.Duck unwrapped the chocolate bar and cut off the half and gave it to Clementine."Hey Duck I want the smaller piece." She said "No,you need this more than I do." He said in an empathetic tone "I know what its like to starve and even though we haven't eaten for like 3 weeks you need this chocolate more than I do.I dont want you to starve.." He said softly and smiled a bit.Kenny smiled hearing their conversation."Duck you must really care about Clem to be treating her that way.." He said and chuckled."Yeah,I do love her,even though she irritates me and gets on my nerves sometimes heh." Duck said as a light blush formed on his cheeks."Oh well I love you too even though you treat me like shit sometimes and although we fight I still care about you.." Clementine's cheeks had turned red.Duck wrapped his arm around her and ate his chocolate.Clementine did the same.After they ate Kenny handed AJ back to Clementine and a few minutes later Clementine and Duck were asleep.Duck had his arms wrapped around her small body protectively as she held AJ in her arms.Kenny smiled at the view of the three sleeping kids in front of him and laid back in his seat and drifted off to sleep.
