" I'm going to work matt! i'll see you when i get home!" claire yelled to her fience as she ran out the front door zipping up her jacket. the thin sheet of snow crunched beneath her feet as she ran.
running to her car opening the door sliding into the frozen car she shuddered. starting the car up .she rubbed her hands together trying to warm them up from the cold november morning. she waited a few minutes waiting for the heat to flow from the vents and warm her cold car up. she backed down the driveway smiling looking at the house her and matt shared. she drove off to work for the nypd. she parked her car smiling as she looked down checking her uniform she got out and ran inside.
she shighed entering the front office smiling." feels amazing in here so warm " she said smiling looking at cassandra sitting behind the secretary's desk watchin as she lifted up a mug handing it to her.
" good morning claire " cassandra said smiling.claire smiled taking the mug from the womans hand smiling softly at the cup of coffee.
" thank you cassandra " she took a sip and smiled happily walking down the hall " perfect as always you need to give me your recipe " she yelled back to the woman. she walked into the meeting room all eyes falling on her as she smiled and chuckled " i didn't mean to be late the snow was piled high behind my driveway " she explained.
" morning everyone " she said and sat beside her partner kyle. he shook his head and smiled at her
" you should of left earlier the cheif was mad he had to wait on you "he joked she smiled at him and sighed
" i know but i tried i had to shovel the snow it was so cold " she said smiling at him as she shivered thinking about it.
the meeting went as normal and soon her and kyle where in their patrol car " you know you need to find you a lady " claire said smiling at kyle " that way me and matt and you and your lady friend can double date that would be great " she said chuckling smiling at him as he rolled his eyes.
" you know you make it sound so easy to find that special one " he said shaking his head " not everyone gets to have a fairytale meeting like you and matt " he said chuckling winking at claire smiling." love at first sight and all " he said smirking
" i mean it was all thanks to you i mean you introduced us after i moved here and got assigned to be your partner i was scared when i first came but you know if i would have known i was going to be your partner i wouldnt have been so nervous that first day" she said chuckling looking at him smiling " it was love at first sight and i'm sure you will find a great girl one day then we can double date?" she said laughing looking at kyle smiling as he rolled his eyes.
" you sure like to get involved with others life's i'll find my love eventually but i would love to deal with the job at hand i mean we are on the clock " he said looking over at claire smiling .
she sighed frowning looking at him " your right kyle im sorry you will find her on your own time. " she said smiling at him she looked out the window looking around the streets.
A female voice came over the radio coming in and out as it beeped " their is a 10-39 in progress cars in area of downtown and robin street a suspicious man has been lurking around causing a disturbance " the womans voice cut out as claire looked around.
