KIANA
I was in such a good mood today and I have no idea why. I walk up to Conner's door and knock. No response. I shrug and take out the spare key he had given me. I hadn't seen him in a while and he hadn't tried to reach out to me or anything. I opened his door and walked in.
"Hello? Conner?" I call.
I check everywhere, the house is empty. I glance round his room and notice an envelope with my name. I pick it up and read it. And it wasn't good. I was hurt. Actually, I was beyond hurt. I was heartbroken. Is this some kind of sick joke? Breaking up with someone through a letter without an explanation. I call his number but no answer. I tear the letter and storm out of the house, tossing the key he had given me aside and slamming the door shut. I walked blindly through the streets. My eyes were blurry from the tears that threatened to spill. After a while, my legs stopped working and I looked up only to come face to face with the oh so infamous back wall of Reddington. Why am I here? I thought warily. Just then a figure landed near me. A few feet away from where I was standing. The figure stood, stretching to its full length and immediately I caught a glimpse of the eyes, a sparkling caramel. He took off with lightning speed, not even noticing me. He ran into the dark woods just outside the border of this little town.

"I'm home." I call weakly as I step into my house and shut the door behind me, locking it.
"Hey princess. You sound down, what's the matter?" My dad beckons me over from where he is perched on the couch.
I sigh and walk up to him. My dad and I live alone. That is from the day my grandmother passed away. They were the only people I knew I could always depend on. I loved them with my life. They never spoke about my mother though. I never knew her. I told my dad about the recent events in my life. As he listened his expression grew grave.
"Are you okay, dad?" I asked as he stared into space.
He blinked a couple of times and nodded, "I'm fine just...thinking."
I sighed and told him I'd talk to him later. He seemed to be in his own little world now. I remembered that Kendra had told me of a party his night. I was definitely going. I needed to clear my mind and let loose.
REX
It's been quite a night. I've met the princess, Kiana. She's quite charming. But of course, she is part of the royal family. She seemed to be edgy around me but that would have to change. I'm on a mission...to get the princess to fall for me and inherit the position of king. It's not me, it's my father. I wouldn't do such a thing because I won't be bothered. Father says once we inherit all the riches, I can leave her. I spot her a few feet away just staring at the others in the pool. If it wasn't for my father, I would've actually been drawn to her. She is stunning.
"Kiana!" I approach her.
Her head whips towards me and a wary look creeps unto her perfect face.
"How are you enjoying the party so far?"
"It's okay I guess." She shrugs.
"Why aren't you swimming?"
She just stares at me. She shrugs and looks away. I sigh and stare at the packed pool. At first she doesn't acknowledge me but soon she turns to me with questioning eyes.
"Why're you here?" she asks.
"It's my party." I chuckle, knowing fully well what she meant.
"No you idiot. I mean why here with me?"
"I don't know." I shrug.
"You don't know?" she asks incredulously.
"Nope." I pop the 'p'.
She shakes her head in disbelief.
"You're...different." She states.
I smile, "Good."
She looks at me. Her blue eyes searching my face.
