And at first I didn't like him
because he was addicting,
just like Jasper but in many ways
he was so different.
Instead of making my heart race with excitement,
he made my stomach flutter as if it contained
a w h o l e zoo and he made me feel the good kind of alive,
like there was hope.
Like I wasn't a lost cause.
