I've noticed something recently.
Wattpad, out of all the fanfiction apps and websites I know, is one if the worst.
Okay, that's exaggerating.
What I mean is that Wattpad just doesn't appeal to me for reading anymore. I find that other places have much better content and consistent updates.
If you don't know, I only use the following apps/websites.
-Wattpad
-Quotev
-Fanfiction.net
-ArchiveofourOwn
Between these four, this is how I rank them;
1. Quotev
2. Fanfiction.net
3. Wattpad
4. ArchiveofourOwn
The main reason Wattpad is number three is because there isn't much quality in fanfiction. Or rather, there's a limited number of good fanfic before everything runs dry. I can search for an hour in a pile of themed fanfiction and only find one story with potential (that also hasn't updated in 3 months).
With Quotev, people are constantly adding and updating stories, and I've found some REALLY good stuff on there.
Fanfiction.net rarely gets new stuff or updates, but the stories that are completed are often extremely long and detailed. I have stories on there that I still haven't finished after a few days of non-stop reading.
ArchiveofourOwn only got fourth because there isn't much to offer altogether in the inserted characters section. There is a lot of smut and well-detailed stuff, but most of it is imcomplete and lacks what I want.
To be honest, I love Wattpad.
To be even more honest, there are still stories on here that I read, enjoy, and search for on general.
I just.....
Have difficulty finding unique things. Or.....newer series.
Anyways.
