(Funeral Outfit)

"What are you wearing?" Alice Cooper asked with a raised eyebrow as Mary was putting on her oversized black boyfriend jacket. "Oh my god your hair!" Her mom shouted as she finally realised Mary's hair was blonde. "I love it!" Alice stated clapping her hands. "So will Reggie?" She smirked raising an eyebrow. Mary just shrugged and walked out of the house and sat in the car. Veronica had text her.

Veronica: You are in luck.

Mary: Huh?

Veronica: Cheryl just told me that her mom and dad has hired some southside serpent to be waiters. You can find one.

Mary laughed at her friends awful attempts.

Mary: I can't do that at a funeral.

Veronica: Oh come on...... We have grieved this guy long enough. This town needs to move on and leave the poor guy in peace.

Mary: True...

Veronica: I will take that as a yes. I will send you photos of the boys and you can decide.

Mary: Veronica don't you dare.

Veronica: Alright, you can see these gods when you get here hehe.

Mary: V, you are at a funeral.

Veronica: Not by choice ;)

Mary switched off her phone as her mom, dad and Betty got into the car. Mary turned to Betty while her mom and dad spoke in the front.

"Veronica is trying to get me to flirt with southside serpents at the funeral." Mary whispered to Betty who began to laugh.

"Are you?" Betty asked and Mary just smirk and winked. They made it to the funeral. Betty and Mary were left alone as their mom and dad went to get their seats. Betty poked Mary in the side. "Mary, I think Mrs Blossom wants to speak to you." Betty pointed towards Mrs Blossom who was waving at Mary. Mary walked over to Mrs Blossom.

"Mary, dear. I am so glad yo could make it." Mrs Blossom said linking her arm in with Mary's. "Are you still up for performing?" Mrs Blossom asked a shocked Mary who began to stutter.

"Yep." Mary said falsely smiling. Mrs Blossom smiled back and took her up to the microphone.

"Everyone, if you could please take your seats and listen to Mary singing 'Feels like Home.' Jason loved this song." Mrs Blossom exclaimed taking a seat beside her husband.

"uh hi, everyone." Mary stuttered looking out at everyone. Her eyes locked with Archie. "Archie a little help?" Mary asked smiling at him. Archie nodded and grabbed the guitar in the corner, Mary got her phone out and started to play the music.

"Ten years old, hair running wild. Dirt on my face and a naughty smile. I was so in love with the place that I called home. Fourteen, growing up fast. Chasing boys and skipping class. Double daring on the kiss me back, scared down to the bone. Cause there's no one that I gotta be, It all comes down to the simple things. It feels like home and family, . My feet in the red clay. My heart runs like the Mississippi. All the way back from the big city. When the sun goes down at the end of the day. Nowhere else can make me feel this way. It feels like home. It feels like home. It feels like home. It feels like home. Feels like home." Mary sang.

When Mary was finished she looked in front of her too see Cheryl walk towards her with confidences as she was dressed all in white. Mary and Archie quickly got off the stage and sat down next to their friends. Mary turned beside her and saw a waiter, she could tell it was a southside serpent just by looking at him. "Maybe this is who Veronica was speaking about?" Mary thought to herself.

"That was really good by the way." He whispered into Mary's ear. Mary turned around and smiled up at him.

"Welcome to Thornhill. Thank you all for coming. If you'll kindly take your seats.I'd like to start the memorial with a few words about Jason.Last time I saw Jason, I was wearing this dress.I know it's impossible. But I swear, when I put it on, it It feels like he's in the room with me. Even though we were twins, I used to demand I have my own birthday party .Until one year, out of the blue, Jason convinced me we had to combine them into one.It wasn't until years later, I found out why.It was because no one wanted to come to mine. And Jason didn't want me to know.He protected me.Every single day.I wish, that day at the river, I had protected him." Cheryl began to whimper. "I'm so sorry, Jay-Jay. We failed you. All of us." Cheryl cried. Mary felt so bad for her. Cheryl's mom and dad came onto the stage with her.

"I think we'll adjourn now to the Winter Salon for a light supper." Mrs Blossom suggested and everyone got up and moved to the winter salon. Mary was sitting beside Archie.

"That was sweet by the way, giving the jersey back to Mrs Blossom." Mary said starting conversation because it was getting very tense and awkward.

"Thank you, she deserved it more than me." Archie replied smiling over at Mary. "I also have to tell you something you might like." Archie continued. Mary turned around to face him.

"Shoot." She replied eating the fries that were on her plate. She looked up and saw the waiter looking straight at her.

"I was speaking to this guy about my music and he said I wasn't good enough and that I had to work on it. But I offered your name. Don't be mad." Archie said but Mary never replied she just hugged him. They slowly pulled away.

"Thank you so much." Mary exclaimed smiling at him. Archie gave her a piece of paper from his pocket. Mary looked down, it was a number.

"I would call him now." Archie stated smiling at her. Mary just nodded and ran down the corridor into a quiet place and got her phone out. She dialled the number.

"Hello Mr Castillo." Mary said into the phone.

"Yes that is he, who is calling?" Oscar asked. Mary took a deep breath.

"I am Archie Andrews friend, he told me to call you." Mary replied.

"Ah yes, Mary Cooper, is it? I would love to meet with you. Archie says you are very passionate about music." Oscar said. Mary nodded her head vigourisly.

"I would love that, you have no idea. I can come in about 2 hours?" Mary suggested. She was so happy.

"Perfect." Oscar replied before switching off the phone. Mary did a little happy dance to herself.

"I take it that you are happy?" The waiter stated smiling over at Mary who slowly turned around.

"And you are?" Mary asked looking over at the tall boy who had a cute little face but looked manly.

"Ryder Rivers." Ryder smiled walking over to shake Mary's hand.

"Very chivalrous." Mary muttered. "Mary Cooper." She stated shaking his hand back.

"Ahh, you must be the other cooper. Famous in the south." He laughed smiling at her.

"Wow, I feel blessed." Mary laughed. "I should probably go, I have to find a friend." Mary said as she started to walk away but Ryder ran in front of her blocking her from moving.

"Not until I get your number." Ryder stated serious. Mary looked down at his arm, she could see his tattoo even though it was coved by a white shirt. Mary rolled her eyes and walked up to him.

"Phone?" She asked smirking. Ryder got out his phone and handed it to Mary. Mary plugged her numbers into his phone then handed it back to him. Walking away Mary smiled to herself with glee. But then again, Mary was confused as to how she was famous in the Southside.
