I finished the big guy off with a roundhouse kick to his jaw which sent his bloody spit to splatter all over the floor. The black mask I wore to conceal my identity clung to my face as it absorbed the little bit of sweat that started to break. I peered round at the unwholesome faces which held an expression of shocked horror. As I brushed myself off and took a big step over my opponent, who was now lying unconscious on the floor, the guard at the cage door undid the bolt to let me free from the enclosed area.
I made my way to the bar while everyone's eyes followed me until they went back to drinking their cheap beer and cheering at the next coming fight. I keep the mask on with my hood all the way up, nearly covering my eyes, ensuring no one knew my true identity. Girls weren't very common in the cage fighting industry, most of the time the little men would be sexist until you gave them a good kicking; even then they'd carry on with their comments. I was only ever allowed to fight girls, who weren't exactly easy to find especially in a small town like this, which is how I came to beating 6 foot men who thought I was a 5 foot 6 man who had hardly hit puberty. It was kind of amusimg, actually.
"What can I get you, newbie?" The bar men asked, clearly emphasising how impressed he was. Me and my auntie had just moved to this new town, Richmond. Well, I moved to this town and she carried on being away all the time and I wouldn't hear anything off her for weeks. That was okay though, she didn't really agree with my kind of hobbies; they were clearly too exciting for her.
"Whiskey, on the rocks." I replied with confidence. "Hey..."
"Alex." He finished for me.
"Hey Alex, can I go get changed and then leave my bag behind the bar?" I asked and he gave me a quick nod as he placed my whiskey on the bar counter. I took a quick gulp which earned me with a burning sensation as I walked towards the bathroom. I removed my black mask and carefully patted my skin with some tissue paper-that fight had hardly even nudged my make up. I changed into some ripped Jean hot pants with a black crop top which really showed off my tattoos and belly button piercing. I made my way back over to the bar and sat in the same seat as before. This time there was a guy sitting two seats to the right of me who wasn't there before. Alex made his way over to me and skimmed me over with his eyes before asking me what I was drinking. It was nice to know that no one could recognise me through that silly mask.
"Whiskey, on the rocks." I said, while winking at him. His face fell with realisation as he registered me as the same person he'd served ten minutes before. I gave him a toothy grin while I raised my finger to my lips to indicate that it was our little secret. He gave a small laugh while shaking his head as he reached for a clean glass. I watched as he placed a white napkin in front of me with my whiskey on top.
"So you gonna tell me how that happened?" He asked with genuine curiosity.
"I have more fun with guys." I replied, not giving him any details in my expression on what I was thinking.
