HE RAN as far as his small legs would let him, he ran until he couldn't see it, until he got to his bike.
"Please someone help." He screamed, hoping someone would magically hear him, but that was most unlikely since it was around three thirty five am, and the earliest joggers go is five am.
He ran until he came across the small river near the trails, At least I'm near the trail he thought.
He couldn't run anymore, his chest was icy but his heart was burning with pain.
He sat down by the water, looking at it, thinking what he was going to do, crossing the river to get closer to the trail would be too dangerous it was at least shoulder length and he couldn't swim.
"What am I going to do?" He cried out, cupping his hands against his face.
"Too bad you didn't get those swimming lessons I suggested." A voice said behind him, but before he could turn around he was kicked into the river.
The river was moving too fast for him to get out and he swept away screaming for help.

"I can't believe Jack is dead." Genevieve said with a sigh.
"Crazy how last month it was Evans little brother.' Daniel said, Daniel was her closest male friend in their friends circle.
"I don't understand why you guys are so sad about Jacks death, He sort of had it coming, He was warned that one day his big mouth was going to get him in trouble." Genevieves friend Regina said.
"Regina, Dying is a little bit more than trouble, Show some respect." Marcus said as he sat down biting into an apple.
"I'm just saying what everyone else is too nice to say." Regina said with venom laced in her words.
"You're going to get jumped saying that." Geneieve warned her while reading the missing persons report on Arick.
"Do you think Arick really ran away or was kidnapped?" Marcus asked sadly, He was probably the most sensitive out of the whole group.
"I just hope everything goes back to normal." Daniel said quietly.
"Oh my god no way." Regina started to say but was interrupted by someone screaming.
"No, Arick please oh god no." Someone screamed while everyone turned around to watch.
"Is that Evan getting escorted out of the school?" Marcus asked in shock.
"Its because they found his body, Aricks." Genevieve said while tearing up.
"Oh god, h-how?" Marcus asked while stuttering.
"His body was found at the end of the river by happy trails." Regina said, also reading the article.
Daniel paled as she mentioned happy trails.
"Daniel whats wrong dude?" Marcus asked lightly.
"I was there that night he disappeared, I could have saved him." He said covering his face with his hands in shame.
"You didn't know what was going to happen that night." Genevieve said while patting his back in reassurance.
"Do you think this was connected to Jacks death?" Regina asked quietly in the noisy cafeteria.
But before she could have gotten an answer there was a loud noise over the intercom
"Everyone report to the auditorium, for a mandatory assembly." The voice said.

After the assembly school was let out.
Genevieve was walking to the parking lot waiting for her dad to pick her up when someone stopped her.
It was Lili, Jacks best friend, and Evans ex girlfriend.
"You and your friends are invited to Jacks funeral." She said sadly as she handed four envelopes to Genevieve.
"Thanks Lili, I'm sorry for your loss." Genevieve said and took them.
"I'm sorry for both of them." She said and walked off.
Genevieve turned around as she got a phone call.
Not checking who called her, guessing it would be Regina asking for a ride she answered it.
"Hello, who is this?" She asked.
"Regina isn't the only person who thinks Jack had it coming." The person on the phone said.
"Excuse me, but who is this?" Genevieve asked bewildered by the persons words.
"Someone who knows something, and Gen honey? This is only the beginning of a horrid storm." The person said and hung up.
Looking down at her phone startled Genevieve thought on what to do.
Just as her dad pulled up she texted her group chat.
Can anyone meet up later?-GeneTheVeive at 3:52 pm
And got in her dads car trying to mask her frightened state.

"So you think Jack and Arick were both murdered and the killer just called you?" Daniel asked sitting on Genevieves bed.
"Yeah, and I want to tell the group." Genevieve said while pacing back and forth.
"Gen honeybee,I don't know if thats a good idea." Daniel said.
"True, because after someone tells their friends circle in a horror movie one of the friends die." Genevieve said while sitting down in her desk chair.
"Tell the police before anyone else can die." Daniel suggestsd.
"What if they don't believe me?" Genevieve asked.
"Its better than feeling guilty." Daniel said while getting up.
"Leaving?" Genevieve asked while getting up also.
"Yeah my mom wants to set up a curfew now." Daniel said while getting his car keys and funeral invitation.
"Bye Danny." Genevieve said while she followed him down the stairs.
"Bye Gen." Daniel said as he left.

Lili walked into her home as she let her hair out of her ponytail.
She walked up the stairs but stopped when she heard a noise.
"Mom? Dad? Are you guys home early?" Lili asked while walking up the stairs.
When she got to her room she screamed.
"Why the hell are you in my room?" She screamed at the masked figure.
She thought for a moment and started to back up.
"You are the person that killed Jack, and made it look like an accident." She said while she started to sob.
The masked figure started to walk towards her with a cloth in their hand.
Realizing she is going to die Lili begged for one thing.
"Before you kill me, let me see who you are." She pleaded with fear in her eyes.
The figure lifted their mask as they lifted it.
Lili gasped and said,"I've always hated you." Before everything went to black.
