Thanks again for reading and I hope you're enjoying the story! XxConor and Jack had left and I was sitting around in my own thoughts. The more I thought, the more I wanted to cry. I didn't know why and I felt like I was overreacting. I mean I clearly am but I didn't think I'd be like this. I didn't like the thought that Britt was staying with Joe and that I was here all alone in my apartment.
I scrolled through my contacts and saw Pj. Maybe I should give him a call, I hope he's not busy. I pressed on his contact and waited while the phone rung.
"Vanessa! What's up? How've you been, I haven't talked to you in a while." Pj answered after a few seconds. I smiled once I heard his voice.
"I've been good Pj. I was just bored and decided to talk to you!" I chuckled.
"I just got done filming a new video. Can't wait for you to watch it! Also I saw Joe's video, are you guys dating?" Pj's voice seemed to get lower and softer, maybe even sounding a bit disappointed.
"Yes we are actually. Only there's a problem which is why I decided to call you."
"What's the problem? You can always talk to me, you know." He sounded worried and I smiled knowing that he cared.
"Well Joe has a friend over, who is a girl, and she's staying at his place. They always seem to go out and she's very happy around him. I don't know, maybe I'm just over thinking." I sighed and ran a hand through my messy hair.
"Well if he really likes you he wouldn't cheat on you. Guys can have girl friends too just like you have guy friends as well. I'm sure Joe might be feeling the same way when he sees you with another guy." Pj chuckled softly and I felt like he was a bit sad.
"Pj, are you okay? You sound a bit down." I bit my lip and waited for his answer.
"It's not that I'm trying to make you feel bad but I've had a crush on you since when we first met. I guess Joe won you over." Pj's voice was low and he sighed softly.
I glanced around my apartment, not knowing what to say. I didn't have the same feelings as Pj. "I'm sorry Pj, I didn't know you felt that way."
"It's fine, forget I ever said that. Just know that Joe really likes you and he wouldn't do anything stupid."
"Yeah you're right. Thanks for the chat Pj and I'm really sorry." I began to twirl my hair with my finger nervously.
"Don't worry Vanessa. You make sure Joe doesn't slip away okay?" He sounded happy but I wasn't sure if he was faking it or not.
"Okay. Thanks Pj!" I hung up and looked at my phone. I felt bad for Pj but there was nothing I could do, my heart belonged to Joe.
~~~~~
After a long day, I decided to visit Joe. He should be home by now, it was nine in the afternoon. I knocked on the door but nobody answered. I rung the doorbell instead and still no answer.
Being the curious person that I am, I turned the doorknob. The door was open. I peeked inside and didn't see anyone. Did Joe leave his door open by mistake? I shook my head, Joe wouldn't do that.
I curiously opened the door wider and stepped inside. I heard voices coming from the living room and then a loud thump. Laughter followed after and I walked over. I stopped when I saw something I didn't think would ever happen.
Joe was on top of Britt and they were both laughing. "Joe get off me! This isn't fair!" She was fidgeting under him and trying to move away. Joe slowly looked up and saw me.
I froze as tears started to form in my eyes. My vision became blurry as Joe quickly got up and walked towards me. Britt was awkwardly standing in the living room and it looked like she had a slight smirk on her face. I backed away from Joe slowly and covered my mouth with my hands.
"Vanessa it's not what you think, we were just-" I let out a small whimper and Joe stopped talking. He was about to hug me but I pulled away and ran out the door.
I ran into my apartment and locked the door. I could hear Joe yelling for me to open the door but I ran into my bedroom, ignoring him. I leaned against the wall and slumped down to the floor as hot tears fell down onto my cheeks. Did Joe actually think I was that stupid? They were laughing and having fun, who knows what could have happened if I hadn't walked in!?
Small whimpers escaped my lips and I bit on my knuckle to stop myself but it didn't work. I started hiccuping uncontrollably and breathing faster. Shaking, I stood up slowly and grabbed my phone. My vision was blurred and my hands were shaking as I clicked on Jack's name. The phone rung and rung but no answer.
My phone slipped away from my hands and I fell to the floor again. I wanted to talk to someone, anyone except Joe. I didn't notice that I had pressed Jack's name once more and he was listening to me.
I didn't look at my phone at all. I could only focus on Joe sitting on top of Britt and laughing as if I didn't exist. Her smirk was stuck in my mind and I pulled my hair as more hot tears formed in my eyes.
Suddenly I heard a voice coming from my phone. I glanced at my phone and the caller ID said Jack. I shook my head vigorously, thinking I was just beginning to imagine things when suddenly I heard Jack's voice again.
"Vanessa, I'm coming to get you. Get your stuff ready."
