Chapter 6

"Agnes pass me the screwdriver please."

Agnes handed Avery a screwdriver. "Thanks." Avery worked on the underside of the car in silence. "Finally done." Avery wheeled herself out from under the car, her face dirty with grease. "A pair of pulse minigun lasers, a 2x5 missile rack. Christie Suspension, bulletproof and blastproof doors and windows, shield projector, all round internet connection, wifi, nitro boosters, speeds of more than 500mph! Not to mention internal inertia control as well as a turbo jet engine built for a tank! A perfect car!" Avery declared, smiling proudly at her work.

"Hey Agnes!" Agnes looked up from her book. "Give me a hug!" Avery yelled, spreading her dirty arms. Agnes' eyes opened in mock horror. "No! You're filthy! Go shower or something!" She yelled. "Come here!" Avery chased Agnes around the hanger. Many of the members in the hanger bay watched as their usually-stern commander show her playful side. Many smiled, they hoped that this new girl Agnes would make her less stern.

Agnes finally slumped over, tired.  Avery ran up and gave her a bear hug. "Ahh! The grease is getting onto me! Off!" She shoved Avery off her, and Avery laughed. "Now we both need a shower. After that, I'm going to go eat dinner. You want to come?" Agnes shrugged. Avery gave her another hug and ran off laughing. "Avery I will kill you!" Agnes chased Avery with her book in hand.

Agnes hummed as she was in her shower. She thought about how her life has changed drastically over the week. From being in a cell to now, having a possible girlfriend/mate, with powers and in a world hat she wanted to be in. She thought of Avery, her smile and laughter ringing in her ears, and she sung one of her favorite songs;

Picking out a black shirt and skirt, she dressed and opened the door. Avery fell to the floor. "What you doing?" Agnes asked with narrowed eyes. "Just listening to you singing...hey...is that purple underwear you're wearing?" Avery asked from her position on the floor between Agnes' legs (not that way for you dirty-minded people...yet). Agnes slapped Avery. "Pervert!" She yelled blushing. Avery shrugged, apparently not fazed by the slap. "Seen it once, seen it all. Let's go for dinner! I'm treating you tonight." Avery said. Agnes smirked. "Are you asking me on a date Avery Maeva Chaos?" Avery stuttered. "W-what! No!" "Oh really?" Agnes moved closer, then pissed Avery's arms to the wall. Agnes moved her head till she was about to kiss Avery, who looked like she was going to get raped by Agnes, then moved to her ear and whispered, "Psych." And ran out the room. Avery slid down the wall, her heart beating so fast, she might have a heart attack. "Oh my gods..." she said breathless. "This will be a long year..." she muttered.
