Another twilight evening
In this small, forgotten town,
My sad heart is filled with pleasure
Every time the sun goes down

The shadows grow much longer
The sky offsets thon trees
A shade of red highlights the clouds
Like that of my bruised shaking knees

Peering through the curtains,
My candle slowly burning out,
Soon I'll rest my head again,
And dream of peaceful doubt

The best days of your childhood
Are the ones you have forgot
Yet you'll see them when a vistor,
Whom your death will soon begot
