- Chapter 19.

Diana'sPOV –

"Vic, take me home."

Vic looks at me, eyes grow huge but full of concern.

"Wait, what?" Vic asks.

I shake my head, "Vic, please, let's not get into this. I know you heard what I said."

I look away. I couldn't handle this at the moment. Vic and I were so happy together, without the struggle of having my parents around. I was suddenly breaking our final happiness we were having. It's the smart thing to do though. I do need to get back to school and stop being on the run. It's nice being with Vic, but I also need to return back to my normal life.

"Are.. are you serious?" Vic speaks after the brief moment of silence. I nod my head, not trusting my voice to speak.

"I'll leave you two to talk." Mike says before getting up out of his chair and walking into the main house.

I walk past Vic and sit where Mike was previously sitting. Vic sits back down in his own spot. He looks down for a moment, taking in the sudden awkward silence. We locked eyes for a moment when he looked up, but he immediately looked away. Was he seriously mad or upset with me?

"Why? I thought you wanted to be happy with me." Vic's head is still bowed down, and he says just above a whisper.

I sigh, hinting a bit of annoyance, "Of course I want to be happy with you, but I can't just keep running away from my problems," Tony's words came through my mind again; he was right, "I.. I have to be back with my family. I'm only 16 years old, and I'm running away with my boyfriend."

Vic just nods his head, understanding what I was trying to tell him. All I want is for him to understand my choice, or at least accept my choice I'm making.

"So, when do you want to leave?" Vic asks.

I shrug my shoulders, "Maybe tomorrow. I don't want to go home just yet." Vic smiles. At least we get to spend one more night together.

"What do you want to do tonight then? If tonight is our last day to be together, alone, then we should have some fun." Vic smiles.

Soon after Vic asked that, Jaime came out the back door of the house, "I don't care what you guys say, but we're drinking tonight!"

Vic and I laugh, nodding our heads in unison at Jaime. Vic grabbed my hand and we both walked inside, following Jaime.

"So, since you might be going back to Cali sometime soon, we're throwing you a goodbye party! And, I know Tony and I only met you not too long ago, but you're an amazing person. So, you deserve this party!" Jaime exclaims as he sets all the drinks and food out.

I walk up to Jaime and gave him a hug, "Thank you, Jaime. I really don't deserve any of this, but thank you. You guys have been so nice to me, and I'm glad I got the chance to know both you and Tony."

I sat at the kitchen table with Vic, Jaime, and Tony; all of us talking amongst each other. We were waiting for Mike to get back from the store. I look at the time and see it's already 4:30. Mike left about two hours ago.

Vic groans, "Where the hell is Mike?"

Jaime, Tony, and I just shrug our shoulders. We all slouched down on the chairs we were sitting on. Soon enough we heard the front door open.

I turn to look who walked in, "It's about damn time, Mike we've been-Savannah!" Savannah had walked in behind Mike. I get up out of my chair to greet her.
