--Cami's POV--

"3..2..1 HAPPY NEW YEAR!" we all yelled.

Ugh finally, a new year to start fresh. A new year to forget about everything John did to me. John was my ex-boyfriend who cheated on me with my ex-best friend. I mean he could have done it with anyone, but really MY BESTFRIEND? And the fact that he cheated on me is ridiculous! Anyways, it's finally 2014 and now I need to change everything in my life, especially self harming. It starts to bother me when people ask me why I wear so many bracelets, like why do you care it's not like anybody else does. But whatever this is the time to change my whole entire life.

"Cami, come here quickly," my best friend Francesca yells. As I come over she hits
me smack in the face with a pillow. "Oh no you didn't," I yelled at her. She giggles and hits me again. As she lifts the pillow up in the air again, I grab the biggest pillow I can find and hit her right in the stomach and she falls straight onto the couch. Before I could hit her again, I hear my phone vibrate. I look at her and say, "Next time I'll get you!" As I answer the phone I hear my brother, Brandon. "Hey Lami, how's your party going?" Brandon says. "Ugh would you stop with that pathetic name?! It's so stupid." I say as I groan. "Someone's in a bad mood.... Anyways just checking up on you and hey, guess what?" Brandon says cheerfully. "What?" I say. "I got us tickets to go to California this week!" he said almost making me half deaf. "OMG are you serious right now? How many tickets did you get? Can Francesca come?" I asked impatiently. "Calm down, calm down! I got us 4 tickets." Brandon said with even more excitement. "YAY FRANCESCA YOU CAN COME!" I squealed with excitement. "Okay, okay so we are leaving tomorrow at 6, make sure to pack! Oh and also, I am bring Kristin so make sure to be on your best behavior or else..." Brandon said. "Alrighty then... I love you bro and thanks again!" I said as I started jumping up and down. "Wow I can't believe we're going to Cali! Thank your brother for me while I got get packed at my house! I'll see you tomorrow, kay Cami bye!" Francesca said as she hurried to her car to leave.

It was 7:32 in the morning when I realized that my alarm had been going off. I jumped quickly out of bed and went straight to the bathroom to get ready. Right before I could start I got a text from Francesca.

Francesca: hey I'm ready to go already!
Cami: well that was fast...
Francesca: yea anyways she you at 4 :)

I still can't believe I'm going to Cali like OMG! I picked out some tribal print leggings and my American eagle sweater with some combat boots. Now all I had to do was pack. I don't think I could even pack right because my suitcase was a mess but whatever I was ready!
