Sky's POV

"Abby?"
I awoke with a start. Where'd she go!? What is it with this girl and disappearing?!
"ABBY!?"
I got off the bed and started frantically running around looking for her.
She wasn't home.
I knew this girl was a flight risk! But where could she have gone?
As I was running across the house, I stumbled onto the blue scarf that I gave her as a present just last night.
She left without it.
I felt a pang in my chest but ignored it.
Carefully, I picked it up. As I did, a well folded paper fell out from within the folds.
It was a letter.
A letter from Abby.
I was right.
She is gone.

Abby's POV

"Last boarding call for flight BA 268 to London Heathrow Airport."

How did I get here? I had everything that I ever needed. How did it come to this? What happened!?
I had it all. Now here I am, about to board a flight in the hopes of finding the guy that once gave me everything and then took it all away.

So many emotions running through me, it was overwhelming.
I didn't know if what I was doing was right or wrong. I just knew that I had to do it.

Mechanically, I got up and made my way over to the counter. Just as I handed my ticket and passport to the attendant, my phone started buzzing.

"Sky."

He must have found my letter.
He's another mess in my tangled life! He's so sweet and kind and has tried to protect me all the while that we've known each other.
Why am I leaving the potential of a new life here, safe, happy, and running after a closed chapter?

In my mind, none of this, makes sense. But in my heart, I just can't let it go.
Damn! Julian really pulled a number on me!

"Excuse me, miss, we're about to take off. Would you please turn off your cell phone?"

"Oh right! Sorry."

I ignored Sky's missed calls and turned off the phone. I'll call him when we land.

10 hours later....

"Purpose of visit?"
"Pleasure."
Hardly, any. Poetic!

After I got out of the airport, I got into a cab and gave him directions to the cheapest hotel that I found on google.

As expected, Sky had called me a million times! I decided to call him back.

"Abigail Willow Parker! Do you have any responsibility and the least bit care about the people around you!? How many times are you going to disappear on us!? What the hell were you thinking!?
'I'm going away for a couple of days. Something I have to do. Don't try to find me!" What are you, a heroine in a sappy movie!? This is real life! You can't up and decide to abandon your life over one night!"

"Whoa whoa! Slow down! How do you know my middle name!?"

"Abigail!"
He sounded angry.

"Alright. I'm sorry. I just had to do something. I'm sorry I had you all worried."

"Where are you?"
Doesn't sound like he'll like what I'm going to say next.

"In London."

"In London!?"

"Yeah."

"Abby, I've had enough! You left the continent in one night! What the hell is going on!?"

"London is where Julian lives."

"Julian!? Your ex fiance who's disappeared? You're there to find him?"

"Kinda."

"Do you know where he is?"
