~"Mom, I need to... go."
My mom turns around and gives me an annoyed look. "But honey, we just came from a gas station. Why didn't you go then?"
"Well I didn't need to go before," I say. I understand her frustration. I mean, we are in the middle of nowhere and have miles to go before we reach grandma's house. But, my mom should've known that road trips aren't really my kinda think.
"Fine. But please hurry," she sighs and pulls the car over. I open the door and climb out. "And Ryan," I turn to look at her.
"Yes?"
" You will be careful, won't you?" I nod and walk into the forest beyond.
