Mrs. Mell's POV

"Erwin dear, have you heard from Michael or Jeremy at all over the past week. He said he would call everyday after he left for college and I haven't heard from him since last Monday" I explain to my husband of 30 years.

"No Martha, I haven't" he replied looking up from his book.

"Should we be worried? What if something bad happened?" I said starting to breathe heavily. Curse this damn anxiety.

"Honey, everything is going to be okay he probably just stressed out with finals and graduation coming up that he hasn't had the time" Erwin said placing his hand on mine for comfort. He probably right, I do tend to over think things.

"Maybe we should call just in case, just to make sure he is alright with the events of the past it's the right thing to do as his parents" I say as I pick up my phone and dial Michael's number. I put the phone on speaker so we can both take to him.

"Um, mom this isn't the best time, I'm kinda in the middle of something" Michael says when he picks up.

"It's your mom? Tell her I said hi" I hear someone say in the background, I knew right away it was Jeremy. You could never separate those two, they have been together since the met. Which is why then need to hurry up and start dating.

"Jere said hi" Michael said slightly annoyed.

"Put me on speak so I can talk to you both. It's been so long since I talked to you both" I say.

"Mom this really isn't the bes-"

"Michael listen to your mother" Erwin  said. Michael always listened to him more then me.

"Okay, you're on speaker" Michael said with a groan.

"Hi Mr. And Mrs. Mell" Jeremy said joyfully.

"Hello Jeremy, so what are you two up to?" I ask.

"Don't," I heard Michael whisper.

"We are on a date tonight" Jeremy replied.

"Like a date date?" Erwin questioned.

"Yes after all it's our 6 mouth anniversary" Jeremy said. I knew they would come around. Wait, if Michael asked Jeremy out I get $50,but if it's the other why around then I give Erwin the $50.

"God damn it Jeremy, I was going to tell them graduation day" I heard Michael whisper yell.

"I have a quick question, who asked who out first" Erwin asked.

"Why does that matter?" Michael asked.

"Because me and your father have a bet, if you asked Jeremy then I get $50 and if Jeremy asked you your father gets the money" I explain.

"You guy had a bet on us?" Michael said even more annoyed then before.

"Congratulations Mr. Mell you are the winner of the $50, because it was I who asked out Michael" Jeremy said.

"Yes, I knew it!" My husband bragged.

"I'll give you the money when I get paid" I said with a giggle.

"I can't believe you guys" Michael said.

"Well we should leave you two to your date, you take care of my boy Jeremy" I say wanting to leave the boys to their fun.

"I will and it was good talking with you Mr. And Mrs. Mell" Jeremy said with a soft chuckle.

"Okay bye you two have fun"y husband said.

"We love you two" we say.

"We love love you too, bye" the boy say.

"Bye" I hang up the phone and lay down next to my husband.

"I was right for once" Erwin said.

"Shut up you old fool" I say back before drifting off to sleep.
