I was finally here

I was finally here. Imperial. This college had churned out plenty of my family members and relegated them to important positions in the world economy throughout various nations. It was a go-given that I would be enrolled in either of the universities under Imperial.

The flight journey from South Korea had been remarkably boring except for the stopover. It was there he had met her. She of those doe-like brown eyes and smooth freckled skin. She, who smelled like peaches. She, of  the dark unruly curls and almost perfect lips. Where had she vanished?

Ever since I had caught her ogling me in the airport lounge, she had closed off. Neither did we talk while boarding nor on the plane. It was as if the girl simply had vanished. And to make matters worse, I did not know her full name. Only Addy wasn't enough to look for her in the dorms. In fact, I had already made my rounds and none of the girls there had a name close to Addy except Adeleine and I knew it wasn't her. For starters, Adeline was blonde and startlingly feminine.  Addy had been boyish, had it not been for her hair and clothes, she would have easily passed off as a boy with her strong jaws and slightly masculine features. Adeleine was also the embodiment of a diva. From perfect curls of buttery blond hair to neatly pressed designer dresses, she was the epitome of the All-American Girl.

I looked around for her gift as I took stock of my room. Getting information and asking things of Adeleine hadn't been easy. From eating out at expensive restaurants to taking her out on drives, asking things from her was hard enough. At least he knew she was not here. Either she had lied or she wasn't in this University at all. Did she change her mind? Was she living in an apartment all on her own? I pondered while I shifted through layers of clothing looking for her gift. This was the last. I was done with the questioning and today I will repay here.
