"Congratulations, new graduates!", sabi ng announcer in stage.

Black togas, arranged chairs, decorated gymnasium.

Shouts and claps, a lot of smiles. Hugs and tears of happiness.

Yes, finally. Matapos ang lahat ng paghihirap, puyat, pagdadiet, walang habas na pagrereview, pagod at sakit ng ulo, here we are.

Finally graduated. The batch 2022-2023 of Black Note Academy.

I can't help smiling as I think of it. Our 17 years of learning has finally ended, soon reality will begin.

Board exams, career and marriage.

As if our training is over and the battle field is waiting outside the gates of this school.

After all those hardships, isipin mo, we will face some more. Akala mo after mong nag aral tapos na, like

Yun na yun! Happy na lahat.

Pero hindi, it never was.

That is the reality of life.

"Anak! We're so proud of you!", sigaw ni mom at dad na agad sinundan ng pagyakap ng mahigpit.

"Thanks, mom! Thanks dad! I love you!", wika ko sabay halik sa pisngi nilang dalawa.

"O, board exam na lang ang kailangan mong ipasa! Which is, siguradong sisiw na lang sa'yo diba?", pambobola pa ni mom.

Ish, Sisiw? I don't think so.

I went through hell bago ang lahat ng ito. I had gone through challenges, at hindi naging sisiw ang lahat. Kahit pa sabihin nilang matalino ako. That pressure is my enemy.

Every time I face a quiz or a test, I'm challenged to score 100%.

Every exam requires tough reviews in order to score a perfect one.

Yet, I managed. And now the real do-or-die exam will be waiting in 5 months.

Pressure. Pressure.

It kills.

"Ma, naman! Wag mo namang i-pressure anak natin, mahirap ang board exams. Let us not put a lot on her shoulders." Pagtatanggol ni dad.

Yeah, he knows me. Lifesaver talaga yan lagi. Ang tagapagpagaan ng pressure sa buhay ko. The best dad in the world. He knows how to make me feel better as always.

"Sabagay, basta I believe in you dear, kaya mo 'yan! O, uwi na tayo? Lets have lunch!" Sabi ni mom.

"Wait po!", sigaw ni Niel from a distance. His stomps coming near us in a fast beat. He was running. "Hi mom and dad! Ipagpapaalam ko lang po sana si Niese. We want to have lunch at Xander's place. Pwede po ba?" Sabi nya habang hinihingal pa.

Ooh? Lunch with my friends. That ought to be fun. Haha

Can't wait

"Ah, sige. Payag ako basta ibabalik nyong buo ang anak ko. At mag iingat kayo okay?" Sabi ni mom habang nakatingin kay Niel. Mangangain ata to ng buo haha, kawawa naman ang boyfriend ko.
