That Was How I Knew You

I threw my weight on the bed, pressures occupied my entire insides. I laid my arm on the top of my forehead while I placed the other on the bed. Again, I continuously heaved a sigh of uneasiness.

Worries overtook myself as the thought of her rushed in my head, but I did acknowledge that I had no rights to be in this position. The rights to care or look after her. After all, I was only the boy next door that exchanged several eye contacts with her.

Yes, I did feel guilty for interfering her privacy. We just happened to coincidentally get out of our rooms at the same time and I guessed I went too far to the extent that I questioned myself where she was heading to. However, the thoughts were just kept silently in my head and maybe, just maybe, I was interested in this female.

Every simple moves of hers could drive me mentally insane, especially the smile of hers, there was something behind it that instantly attracted me to her.

During the other day, I was busted for staring at her through my apartment's window when she was walking outside. To worsen the situation, she was the one who had caught me.

She spun around and as she stopped her tracks, she gestured a wave in my direction and plastered a heartwarming smile. Her reaction had caught me off guard for sure. I then smiled foolishly in return.

"Fuck it," Finally, I decided on my choice.

"I'm going to find her," I hopped out of my bed and grabbed my coat along as I hurriedly exited my room.

It was one in the morning, I left my room as I wanted to deliver a complain about my restroom to the receptionist. As I stepped out of my room, she was out of hers as well.

At that time, I thought she might be hanging around with a bunch of her friends. Though, she seemed unwell. In addition, the way she dressed up made it looked unusual too.

"Hey," I spoke as I lifted my hand.

"Uhh... Hey," She mumbled, her head stayed low as she raised her hand as a response.

With that, she just walked passed as if she was avoiding to be seen. When she was close enough, I could hear little sniffs coming from her. I immediately switched my sight to her and captured a damp tissue in her palm.

Was she sick? I thought.

Did she, perhaps, cry? I shook my head vigorously as I disagreed with the assumption.

At first, I reminded myself to back away from it, just to end up with debating whether to run after her. In the end, guess who had found her? Jung, freaking, Jaewon.

Eventually, I spotted her in a nearby club. She was alone at her table, staring into the space with a glass of alcohol in her grip. A sigh of relief escaped through my lips and I entered the club, taking the seat across of hers.

"Are you alright?" I asked considerably.

I knew we had not talk properly in person and that was the reason why I tried to gain the effort to lessen the tension between both of us.

"Why are you here?" She questioned as she furrowed her eyebrows, confused with my sudden appearance.

I bit the bottom of my lips and my eyes darted away from hers as I was searching for a reasonable answer to her question.

"Forget it," She murmured.

"My boyfriend broke up with me," She sobbed, tears started to constantly flow down her cheeks.

I simply hummed and went over beside her, stroking her back while she was crying endlessly. That was the least I could do to comfort her by that time and she was burying her face in my embrace.

After a few good minutes, her cries died down and she had finally settled down. Suddenly, silence surrounded the both of us and I could sense she fixated her gaze on me. I twisted my head slightly to meet her in the eye and both of us remained in our spot, gazing at each other's presence.

Without realizing, I leaned forward to her and when we were a few inches apart, I immediately stopped my way and closed my eyes in frustration. I did not want the kiss to be forceful. First and foremost, she was not mine to begin with.

Her lips curved as she examined my expression, most likely because I hesitated in the midway. Without warning, she leaned in unexpectedly and our lips had pressed against each other.
